Agadir Hotels

There are lots of Agadir hotels to choose from, and the best can be found near the city's prized beach. Staying at an Agadir beach hotel can be very tempting when some rest and relaxation are in order on a Morocco vacation, and since many of the beachfront hotels are resorts, fun in the sun can truly be part of the picture. The Agadir resorts also offer a range of facilities and activities for their guests to take advantage of, and all-inclusive packages are available at most. While the resorts and beach hotels are attractive for many reasons, travelers who wish to secure cheap lodging in Agadir will have better luck searching inland. They will also find that discounted rates are available across the board outside of the peak Agadir travel seasons. These peak seasons are Christmas/New Year's, Easter, and the months of July and August.

The top Agadir hotels line the city's beach, and they include the Riu Tikida Beach (pictured). Lush gardens surround this attractive low-rise resort, and guests will enjoy direct access to the beach. Situated amidst the gardens is a large, free-form pool that is surrounded by a patio full of lounge chairs. Between the pool and the beach, guests can get their fill of swimming, and there are lots of other fun activities to enjoy. Activities that are included in the all-inclusive plan at this four star resort are windsurfing, sailing on a catamaran, archery, tennis, canoeing, darts, ping-pong, beach volleyball, and bodyboarding. Guests will also enjoy discounted rates at the Golf du Soleil Golf Club and free transportation to the links. Staying busy at the Riu Tikida Beach is easy, as is staying comfortable. All of the 232 guestrooms at this beachfront resort are clean and well equipped, with standard amenities including satellite TV, central air conditioning, central heating, a living area with a small sofa, a mini refrigerator, and an in-room safe. Save for the smaller single rooms, all of the guest units also feature a balcony or terrace. There is a lot to like about the Riu Tikida Beach, and that includes its complete facilities. Facility highlights include one of the city's best nightclubs, four restaurants, a dazzling spa center, a gym, a kid's club and playground, and two conference rooms.

While the Riu Tikida Beach is widely considered to be the best Agadir beach hotel, there are some other attractive options worth considering. The Clubhotel Riu Tikida Dunas, which is a sister resort, offers a similar experience. Guests looking to enjoy some luxury near the water will also want to keep the Sofitel RoyalBay Resort in mind. The chic Sofitel Resort offers what are arguably the most attractive rooms in town, especially when it comes to décor and comfort. Premium bedding ensures a good night's rest, and the satellite TV can come in handy during down time. Other standard amenities that can be expected in each and every elegant room include a mini bar, air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, a safe for valuables, and a desk. While the guestrooms are relatively small at the Sofitel, larger suites are available. Guests can also pay extra for a room with a balcony. Outside of the guest units, a range of facilities can be taken advantage of, and they include a beautiful outdoor pool, four restaurants, and six bars. There is even a horse stable here, and guests can pay extra for a ride. At the watersports center, equipment is available for a range of activities, and the hotel's private strip of sand always proves enticing.

Many of the mid-price Agadir hotels get a bad rap, but that's not the case when it comes to the Hotel Timoulay, which offers a considerable amount of luxury at a very reasonable price. While not exactly a candidate for cheap lodging in Agadir, the Hotel Timoulay offers an incredible amount of value. There are 58 total rooms at this mid-price lodging gem, and they are both cheery and spacious. Some of the rooms offer balconies, and most overlook the central pool and garden area. Three of the rooms are a little more upscale than the other units, and the hotel also boasts a few suites. Regardless of which unit guests choose, they will enjoy a tasteful décor and some great amenities, with air conditioning, satellite TV, a mini-bar, a safe, and free Wi-Fi figuring among the amenity highlights. Since shopping isn't what draws visitors to Agadir, most guests at the Hotel Timoulay won't mind the fact that the nearest shops are about a ten-minute walk away. The same goes for the nearest restaurants. Thankfully, when guests at the Hotel Timoulay get hungry, they won't have to go far to get something to eat. The hotel's onsite restaurant offers good International and Moroccan fare, and it also boasts classy décor. Unless an Agadir beach hotel is what you have your heart set on, the Hotel Timoulay should not be overlooked.

When it comes to finding cheap lodging in Agadir, the inland Nouveau Talborjt area is where most of the options can be found. Since most Agadir visitors come to enjoy the city's superb beach, however, staying too far inland won't be an option. For those seeking discount Agadir accommodations, no hotel boasts a better location than the Hotel Petite Suede, which is only a five-minute walk from the beach. There are only twenty guest units at the Petite Suede, and while they are relatively simple, they go very fast during the peak seasons. While none of the rooms feature a private bathroom, most have a shower and a sink. Some also feature a balcony, though these rooms face the street and are noisier. Breakfast is included in the very cheap rates, which only makes the price more agreeable, and the hotel offers discounted car rentals. With the money that guests save on lodging and car rentals, side trips to destinations like Taghazout and the Souss-Massa National Park might be in order.
