Mahe Hotels

The Mahe accommodation choices are certainly the most abundant in the Seychelles, as this island is the country's main hub. It's also the largest Seychelles island, and the Mahe lodging options can be found spread all about the place, with the northern resorts among the most frequented. There are scores of wonderful beaches to explore on Mahe Island, and the various Mahe resorts and hotels certainly take advantage of that fact, setting up shop right on the water. The resorts and hotels in Mahe, like in all the Seychelles, tend to be priced relatively high, with the nicer Mahe resorts commanding quite a going rate. Of course, it's hard to argue with the quality of a Seychelles vacation, especially when considering the stunning Seychelles beaches, so most visitors don't mind spending a bit extra. There are some Mahe accommodation options that are priced lower than others, with hostels and guesthouses being among the most affordable. The mid-priced Mahe hotels and resorts offer a pretty good value, and should you visit outside of the peak travel periods, rates across the board are known to drop. The following Mahe lodging choices are just some of the possible places to stay during your Mahe getaway.
You can check out the aforementioned guesthouses if you are interested in discount Mahe lodging, but with the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Beach Resort & Casino offering agreeable rates, it might just prove a better fit. This might not be the most luxurious of Mahe hotels, and though it's a bit worn in parts, it's hard to find a better value at Beau Vallon Bay, which is the top Mahe vacation destination. There are more than 200 rooms to choose from at the Berjaya Mahe resort, and they range from standard rooms to suites. Each is tastefully decorated and guest room amenities include an ensuite bathroom, color TV with movie choices, a mini-bar, coffee and tea makers, a private balcony, and air-conditioning. There is a hair dryer available in every room, and some rooms also have safes. There is a fun casino here, though it won't exactly rival those found in Las Vegas, and you might also check out the hotel bars, or hit the dance floor. There are also a few different restaurants to choose from at this affordable selection for Mahe resorts, with Cantonese and Italian fare among the meal options. Various side activities can be enjoyed in your spare time, such as snorkeling and other watersports.
The Sunset Beach Hotel is pretty expensive as far as mid-priced hotels in Mahe are concerned, but if you can't quite find room in the budget for one of the more upscale Mahe resorts, it's definitely worth looking into a stay here. Found on Mahe Island's northwest coast, the Sunset Beach Hotel enjoys a wonderful location, and the fact that it has its own secluded beach is a big bonus. The main part of this small, colonial-style hotel is situated on a rocky outcropping that stretches out into the Indian Ocean, and recent renovations to the overall property have done well to give it even more appeal. There are 29 rooms to choose from at this nice Mahe lodging pick, 17 of which offer more in the way of luxury. All rooms feature A/C, TV, a mini-bar, a hair dryer, a coffee/tea maker, and great sea views. The two-bedroom villa is ideal for those seeking added space, privacy, and comfort. Outside the rooms, you'll find a game room, a nice swimming pool and sundeck, a small gym, and a nice cocktail bar. Hanging out on the shaded terrace is a relaxing way to spend some down time, and when you get hungry, the restaurant serves up some tasty Creole cuisine that features plenty of seafood.
Moving our way up to the luxury Mahe resorts, The Banyan Tree Seychelles is certainly one that you will want to consider booking a stay at. Situated 30 minutes from the Mahe airport on Intendance Bay, the resort enjoys a splendid beachfront setting that surely encourages relaxation. There are 60 luxurious villas to choose from, with the Presidential Villa offering the most exclusive experience. All feature small, outdoor jet pools, exquisite bathrooms with sunken tubs and separate showers, complimentary toiletries and grooming products, bathrobes, private terraces, a safe, color TV, internet access, mini-bars, A/C, hair dryers, and more. Outside of the rooms, the beach always beckons, and though the swimming here can be a bit rough, long strolls are always ideal. When you need a bit of pampering, the excellent Banyan Tree Seychelles spa will more than provide an idyllic experience, although relaxing by the freeform pool is soothing in its own rite. This wonderful Mahe accommodation choice offers a variety of dining venues and flavors to choose from, and you can even dine on the beach or in your villa. After a day of Seychelles fishing, scuba diving, or beach bumming, coming back to the Banyan Tree Seychelles is simply icing on the cake.
For those considering the Banyan Tree Seychelles, it's also worth it to look into the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa. Though the rates here are pretty high by most standards, they aren't as high as some of the other exclusive Mahe resorts, and all things considered, the experience here is worth every cent. A small resort found on the northern tip of the island, the Hilton provides a relaxing setting, not to mention exquisite ocean views from its hillside perch. There are 40 villas here, all of which are quite luxurious and offer home theater systems, internet access, Jacuzzi tubs, cable television, in-room safes, four-poster beds, a private balcony, and all the basics, like a hair dryer and coffee/tea maker. The spa here overlooks the ocean, which inspires an even more rejuvenating feeling, and the outdoor infinity pool offers scintillating sea views of its own. The Crow's Nest Lounge is ideal for socializing, as is the Lobby Lounge, and there are two restaurants and an al fresco bar to take advantage of as well. Room service is available around the clock, and the friendly staff here can help you plan all kinds of activities, tours, and other interesting things to do.
