Tibetan People in China – The Tibetan people in China are among the most interesting people that you will find anywhere on the planet. They predominantly live in the Tibet Autonomous Region and the province of Yunnan, observing centuries-old traditions and remaining largely uninfluenced by the outside world. That's not to say that they don't have a relationship with the outside world. After all, tourism has been on the rise in both the Tibet Autonomous Regoin and Yunnan Province. A good example of a place to go if you wish to see Tibetan people in China is the Shangrila town of Doukezong (pictured). This town has a 1,300-year-old history, and among other things, it is known for its authentic Tibetan structures.
