Hong Kong Island. Hong Kong Island is the most iconic image that is associated with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It is largely a mix of mountains and skyscrapers, and as you can see in this picture, it shines bright at night. The mountains that add so much depth to the Hong Kong Island scenery are home to some wonderful hiking trails, and the main urban area on the island's north side teams up with mainland Kowloon to form Hong Kong's primary urban core. Many of the top Hong Kong attractions are found on Hong Kong Island. Examples include Ocean Park and the Hong Kong Museum of History.
