Yangtze Wu Gorge. The Wu Gorge (pictured) is one of the three Yangtze River gorges that can be found in the famed Three Gorges region. This region is also called the Yangtze Gorges region and is best known for its stunning scenery. Three Gorges cruises have been popular for decades on end, and this has everything to do with the beauty of the landscape. More often than not, cruise passengers also have the opportunity to explore cultural sites while making their way down the Yangtze River. Due to the fact that the Three Gorges region stretches for approximately 120 miles, many of the river cruises last more than one day.
