Genting Theme Parks

Genting Theme Parks are the central focus within this Malaysia mountain resort. Six distinct hotels dot the area in and around the parks, with First World Hotel housing the indoor theme park. With an indoor and outdoor park both packed with rides, and a mid-sized water park too, families and the young at heart have plenty to enjoy in addition to the resorts many other attractions. Offering a large shopping complex and several other key shopping areas, dozens of restaurants, two entertainment stages and much more to see and do, the resort is a popular spot for Malaysia vacations and a great way to beat the country’s tropical heat.

Located in a cool mountain backdrop, Genting Outdoor Theme Park is one of the most popular of the theme park triplex. Between thrilling rides, kids rides, family rides, and a host of attractions, a day is easy to pass away. The Pirate Ship, Space Shot, Flying Dragon and Corkscrew are the park’s top thrill rides. A little less hair-raising but equally fun are Go Kart and Bumper Car Rides. The park also offers game centers for bowling and archery and offers a movie theater. One of the top attractions for younger children and carousel enthusiasts is the double decker carousel, a two-tiered ride that includes a unique organ and steam engine. Each ride is tagged with the country of origin, which includes Germany, Italy, and Malaysia. Theme Park Passports as well as individual tickets are available. Vacation packages are another great way to save on family passes.

More than 40 attractions and rides are found throughout First World Indoor Theme Park, the second of Genting Theme Parks located inside First World Hotel Malaysia and also near the 200,000 square foot Genting Casino. The Ferris Wheel, Venice Gondola, and Mini Train are a few top rides. Sky Venture is a way to experiment with space-like flight in a gravity-free zone while the car ride around a mini Eiffel Tower transports visitors to beautiful Paris, France. The indoor theme park is appealing to families with smaller children who enjoy less intense rides and attractions like the carousel and slower-paced rides like the monorail, that loops around offering a great view of the premises. Guests of any of the six resort hotels can often secure lower priced tickets or enjoy special rates for daily and weekly passes.

Thrills, but mostly spills, is what’s in store at the Genting Water Park, where a family-based environment is ideal for an afternoon out with the kids. This is one of the best Genting Theme Parks during the summer months when the weather is warmer but is great at any time of year. The waters within the park are all heated to warm, but not hot, temperatures so there’s no chills to worry about. The huge Tornado Slide is one of the highlights of the park. It pummels down throughout a large part of the park, spilling out into a massive pool. The Rainforest Splash Pad is geared toward small kids, with plenty of fun themes and larger-than-life characters based in and around it.
