Singapore Hotels

Singapore hotels tend to be pretty pricey on the whole. This has something to do with the country’s inflated real estate market and the demand for luxury lodging that many visiting businesspeople have. The effect is that budget-minded travelers can find Singapore to be a somewhat unfavorable travel destination. That being said, there are some budget Singapore hotels to consider. Also, since plenty of Singapore lodging establishments are known to offer promotional rates, budget-minded travelers are encouraged to see what deals might be available when booking a room. In any event, booking a Singapore hotel well in advance is the recommended way to go, as it’s pretty much always the busy season. If this isn’t possible, there are tourist assistance centers at the award-winning Changi Airport that can provide lodging assistance upon arrival.

Finding a luxury hotel in Singapore certainly isn’t difficult. The island is home to more than its fair share of upscale accommodations. Among the leaders in the Singapore luxury hotel department is the Raffles Hotel (pictured). A world-famous lodging establishment, it offers a mix of luxury and history that other Singapore hotels simply can’t match. This doesn’t mean that travelers who are seeking out luxurious Singapore accommodations should limit themselves to the Raffles Hotel however. There are plenty of other upscale gems to consider, including the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, the Shangri-La Hotel, the St. Regis Hotel, the Mandarin Oriental Singapore, and the Ritz-Carlton Millenia. The list goes on, and only serving to complement the array of Singapore luxury hotels are some rather upscale resorts.

The destination of choice for many people who are trying to find a Singapore resort hotel is Sentosa Island. Found just off the southern coast of the main island, this popular vacation destination is home to Resorts World Sentosa (pictured) – an expensive casino property that features an integrated mix of hotels and attractions. Among the hotels is the Hard Rock Hotel Singapore. In addition to the central casino, highlights among the Resorts World Sentosa attractions include Universal Studios Singapore and Marine Life Park. Add up everything else that Resorts World Sentosa has to offer, and it only becomes more clear that guests will find it very difficult to get bored during their stay. If you can’t manage to secure a room at one of the Resorts World Sentosa hotels, then you can turn to some of the country’s other hotels. A good number of Singapore hotels, particularly those that are luxurious, offer resort-like facilities and atmospheres.

Many Singapore hotels can be found on or near the renowned tourist attraction that is Orchard Road. In fact, the Orchard Road area boasts the city’s largest cluster of hotels. It is also well known for its shopping opportunities. Among the numerous hotels that call the Orchard Road Area home are such luxury standouts as the St. Regis Hotel, the Shangri-La Hotel (pictured), and the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. Other good bets for those with a healthy budget include the Grand Hyatt Singapore and the Singapore Marriott Hotel. Should something more affordable be the aim, there are some cheaper Orchard Road hotels to consider. The Orchard Parade Hotel offers considerable value, for example. Should its rates still be too high for your preference, however, you can consider Lloyd’s Inn. This agreeable, 34-unit lodging establishment is one of the cheapest hotels in the Orchard Road area.

As mentioned, Lloyd’s Inn is a good bet if you are trying to find a budget hotel in Singapore’s Orchard Road area. Another budget-oriented gem in the area is the YMCA International House. It offers 111 units and occupies a wonderful location at Orchard Road’s lower end. Outside of the Orchard Park area, the Historic District provides budget-minded travelers with another good neighborhood to consider. There’s also the Chinatown neighborhood, which has at least one good low-cost accommodation. Examples of relatively affordable hotels in the Historic District include the Ibis Singapore, the Albert Court Village Hotel (pictured), the Hangout@Mt Emily, the Hotel Bencoolen, and the Hotel Grand Central Singapore. There’s also the Strand Hotel, which ranks high among Singapore’s very best budget hotels. In Chinatown, the Hotel 1929 is a relatively inexpensive place that budget-minded travelers won’t want to overlook when planning their Singapore vacations. It should be noted that because of Singapore’s rather small size, travelers remain within reach of all the great Singapore attractions regardless of where they choose to stay. Basically, you don’t have to sacrifice much or even anything at all within the realms of location when trying to find a good Singapore lodging deal.
