Families also will enjoy cycling tours that are both economical and are enjoyable vacations to Vietnam for all ages. If you want more challenging cycling, you might consider Vietnam vacations in the mountains of the far north.

Even though there are numerous world-class luxury hotels and resorts on the country’s beaches, there is a cheap getaway to Vietnam to be had if you do some research and might consider traveling when the weather isn’t the best. When to go to Vietnam really depends on what most interests you. For instance, the weather is very good in January and February, but the Vietnamese New Year (Tet) occurs at this time, making prices higher, crowds larger, and many shops close during this time as well.

With so much ocean, there is plenty of diving just about everywhere you go. Diving vacations to Vietnam can happen on Cat Ba Island in the far northeast or on Phu Quoc Island in the far southwest, and all along 2,000 miles of coast in between. One of the best places in all of Asia for diving in the area around Nha Trang, where the legendary Jacques Cousteau first discovered his passion for the underwater world.
