Sydney Airport Hotels

Sydney Airport hotels are available in relatively good number, so if you need a place to stay that is close to the terminals and runways, you should have little trouble finding something that suits your taste. None of the Sydney Airport accommodations are overly luxurious, though you can expect to enjoy good amenities at most of them. When you need to get to the city, it is only about five miles away and can be reached via a variety of transportation options. If your Sydney Airport accommodations don't offer free airport shuttle service, it should at least be available for a reasonable fee.

If your budget allows for a stay at one of the more complete Sydney Airport hotels, then you might book a stay at the Holiday Inn (pictured). The Holiday Inn Sydney Airport can be found where Bourke Road and O'Riordan Street meet, so it's just a few minutes from the airport boundaries. The rooms are bright and cheery and feature flat-screen TVs to go with their DVD players, stereos, work desks, phones, and other welcoming amenities. Local calls are free, though guests will have to pay extra if they wish to enjoy Internet access in their rooms, unless they secure one of the Executive Club Level rooms, in which case Internet access is free. As for the Holiday Inn Sydney Airport facilities, they include a business center, four meeting rooms, a gym that is open around the clock, a restaurant, and a bar. Two suites are available at this excellent airport hotel if you need extra space, while the rooms total 250.

When an upscale room is what you have in mind for your Sydney Airport accommodations, the Stamford Plaza Airport Hotel is also worth considering. You'll be just minutes from the international terminal when you stay at this hotel at the corner of O'Riordan and Robey streets in Mascot New South Wales, and once you get settled in, you can take advantage of the many amenities. There are 315 total guest units at the Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport Hotel, and they come in a few different categories. Extra-thick windows help to keep the noise out, and when you find yourself with down time, you can watch the color TV. In-house videos are available for rent, and you can also pay extra for in-room Internet access. Other amenities that are available in the rooms and suites include mini bars, irons, and hair dryers, and it only gets better if you upgrade to one of the deluxe units. The deluxe units feature brand name bathroom products, cozy bathrobes, and other amenities that you won't find in the more standard superior rooms. Outside of the Stamford Plaza rooms and suites, guests will find a fitness room, a rooftop lap pool, a hot tub, a sauna, event facilities, a restaurant that specializes in seafood, a café with a bar, and a lobby bar.

One of the other Sydney Airport hotels that caters to travelers who appreciate style and comfort is the Mercure Sydney Airport. This hotel can be found at 20 Levey Street in the Wolli Creek area and offers 271 attractive rooms and suites. The more deluxe rooms and suites feature some tantalizing perks that can include large flat-screen TVs, complimentary Internet access, bathrobes, and high-quality espresso/coffee machines. When you're not hanging out in your room or enjoying city attractions such as the Taronga Zoo during your stay at the Mercure Sydney Airport Hotel, you can enjoy the facilities. A restaurant that is open for breakfast, dinner, and lunch figures among the facilities, as does a hip bar.

One of the best cheap Sydney Airport hotels is at 205 O'Riordan Street. The Hotel Ibis Sydney Airport offers 200 clean and comfortable rooms that are more stylish than what you might expect for the price. Flat-screen TVs add an upscale edge. Each room also features air conditioning, a coffee maker, a mini refrigerator, an iron, and an ensuite bathroom. Internet access is available for an added fee, as is typical at most Sydney hotels. A buffet breakfast is included in the friendly rates at the Ibis Sydney Airport, and when guests get hungry or thirsty during the day, they can take advantage of bistro or bar. If you like the Ibis Sydney Airport, you might also interest yourself in the other Ibis brand hotels that can be found in the Sydney area. The regional cities of Wollongong and Newcastle also boast affordable Ibis hotels that are budget friendly.
