Coronet Peak

Coronet Peak is one of the best ski areas in New Zealand for a number of reasons, not the least of which is its location on the gorgeous banks of Lake Wakatipu in the midst of the formidable Remarkables range. The terrain at the Coronet Peak Ski Resort is much like a thrilling roller coaster, with deep powdery bowls that are interconnected with one another, as well as a big selection of ski and boarding runs that will challenge even the most seasoned riders. There are also a range of runs set aside for beginners and those still spending time perfecting the craft. Twenty percent of the ski runs are for beginners, 45 percent are for intermediates, and the remaining 35 percent are for experts only. These figures do not even factor in the challenging bowls on the backside of the mountain. There are several terrain parks onsite and at Remarkables. Snowboarders will especially enjoy the challenging jumps, rails, and other hot features at these parks at Coronet Peak.

You can enjoy dining, snacks, and beverages at the Coronet Peak Ski Resort as well. There are a number of little kiosks and food outlets that serve great snacks as well as a restaurant and café.
