Hutchinson is the largest city in Reno County, Kansas, located 39 miles northwest of Wichita, on the Arkansas River, and nicknamed the Salt City. Every September Hutchinson hosts the Kansas State Fair, and every March it hosts the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Basketball Tournament. Like many cities in Kansas, destinations around the city are fairly spread out, and public transportation is limited, making a Hutchinson rent a car a great way to get around. Look for great deals on Hutchinson car rentals and save time and money to see popular attractions like the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center aerospace museum, the second largest space museum in the world, located near the state fairgrounds. Recreation options in the area include several nice water parks, and the Prairie Dunes Country Club, a golf course that has hosted several United States Golf Association national championship tournaments frequently ranked among the best golf courses in US. Hutchinson car rentals are available downtown (usually for better rates than those at the airport) from several national chains. If you fly into Wichita Mid-Continent Airport (ICT), located about an hour away, car rentals are provided in terminal by Alamo, Thrifty, Dollar, Enterprise, Budget, Avis, Hertz, and National. Try Alamo for the lowest rates, followed by Thrifty and Dollar. You must present a valid driver's license and credit card issued in your name at most Hutchinson rental car agencies (although some will take a cash deposit depending on a credit check), along with proof of insurance if you decline the vendor's coverage options. Usually age requirements for a rent a car are 21 for compact and economy cars, 25 for all others, and an additional young driver charge may apply for anyone under 25 (select agencies will rent to qualifying individuals over 18 for an additional fee).
