Kenosha is Wisconsin's fourth largest city and is located in the state's southeast region. Many of its residents commute to jobs in Chicago, earning it the nickname of "Chicago's northernmost suburb." The city was founded by diverse waves of English, German, Scandinavian, Irish, Italian and Eastern European immigrants, resulting in a culinary melting pot that attracts many visitors. A Kenosha rent a car is a great way to get around and see all that the area has to offer. Look for great deals on Kenosha car rentals and explore some of the area’s excellent restaurants, or visit nearby Chicago, a city famous for its entertainment, shopping, architecture, beaches, and mix of big city luxury with Midwest hospitality. Kenosha car rentals are available downtown (usually for better rates than those at the airport) from Hertz, Avis, and Enterprise. Try Avis for the lowest rates, followed by Hertz. If you fly into General Mitchell Field Airport, located about 25 miles away in Milwaukee, car rentals are provided in terminal by Thrifty, Dollar, Enterprise, Alamo, Budget, Hertz, National, and Avis. Try Thrifty for the best deals, followed by Dollar and Enterprise. You must present a valid driver's license and credit card issued in your name at most Kenosha rental car agencies (although some will take a cash deposit depending on a credit check), along with proof of insurance if you decline the vendor's coverage options. Usually age requirements for a rent a car are 21 for compact and economy cars, 25 for all others, and an additional young driver charge may apply for anyone under 25 (select agencies will rent to qualifying individuals over 18 for an additional fee).
