National Car Rental is a rental car company based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a member of Vanguard Corporation. The company was founded by 24 independent rental car agents on August 27, 1947. Since then, it has grown from 60 locations in the United States to over 3000 locations worldwide, including Canada, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asian-Pacific, Africa and Australia. National Rent a Car is one of the nation's largest rental car companies serving the most popular domestic and international travel destinations by providing quality vehicles and service to business, and leisure customers.

With Emerald Club Aisle Service, members receive priority service that allows them to bypass the rental counter and proceed directly to the car of their choice, without waiting in line or completing any paperwork. In addition, members also enjoy special offers, travel discounts and exclusive reservation and member services hotline numbers.
At National locations in the US, the primary renter must be 25, or for select corporate contracts and international tour accounts, the minimum age is 21. Additional drivers must meet the same eligibility requirements as the primary driver. All drivers must show a valid driver's license at the time of rental. Rental rates may be higher for renters aged 21 to 24. An additional daily surcharge may apply in most locations for all drivers who do not meet the age requirements. Certain specialty and larger sized vehicles may not be rented to younger drivers. Some locations maintain maximum age limits. National reserves the right to refuse rental of a vehicle if the renter demonstrates inability to handle road rules and conditions. 18 years of age is the minimum for military or government personnel traveling on official orders under government rates. Minimum age for government or military leisure travel is 21 years old, and rates may be higher for those under age 25. Minimum and maximum rental age and other restrictions vary internationally from country to country.
