Nebraska City is a city in Otoe County, Nebraska, located on the western bank of the Missouri River. This city is known as "The Home of Arbor Day" due to its close propinquity to Arbor Lodge, home of the first Secretary of Agriculture of the United States, J. Sterling Morton. Like most cities in the Midwest, destinations tend to be spread out and public transportation is limited, making a Nebraska City rent a car a great way to get around. Look for great deals on Nebraska City car rentals and save time and money to see popular attractions like the Missouri River Basin Lewis and Clark Center, the Mayhew Cabin Nebraska, Arbor Links Golf Club, and the Arbor Lodge State Historical Park and Arboretum Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure. Nebraska City car rentals are available downtown (usually for better rates than those at the airport) from several national chains. The city is located about an hour away from airports in Omaha and Lincoln. If you fly into Eppley Airfield Airport (OMA), served by all major airlines, car rentals are provided in terminal by Enterprise, Thrifty, Dollar, Alamo, Budget, Avis, National and Hertz. Try Enterprise for the best deals, followed by Dollar and Alamo. If you arrive at Lincoln Airport (LNK), served by Northwest and United, car rentals are provided in terminal by Enterprise, Budget, Alamo, Hertz, Avis, and National. Try Enterprise for the lowest rates, followed by Budget and Alamo. You must present a valid driver's license and credit card issued in your name at most Nebraska City rental car agencies (although some will take a cash deposit depending on a credit check), along with proof of insurance if you decline the vendor's coverage options. Usually age requirements for a rent a car are 21 for compact and economy cars, 25 for all others, and an additional young driver charge may apply for anyone under 25 (select agencies will rent to qualifying individuals over 18 for an additional fee).
