Aruba Nightlife

Aruba Nightlife

From the Carnival festivals that rock the Caribbean world for weeks early in the year to legal gambling on many of the islands to the array of nightclubs and bars, much of the Caribbean has ample opportunities to party or gamble until the wee hours of the morning. Trinidad is known for Carnival and Jamaica is a famously wild place to enjoy the night, but Aruba nightlife is some of the best the region has to offer. Perhaps spurned on by the many casinos on this island, Aruba night clubs and bars are plentiful and ready to entertain you with events, dance music, and drinks.

Most hotels have lounges and bars right on the premises so you don’t have to go far. Most of the hotel lounges and clubs in Aruba also feature evening entertainment, anything from a DJ to piano to a singer. Hotels are also known to offer other evening entertainment outside of the bars and lounges, often beach side barbecues, cocktail parties, steel drum music, fire dancing, or featured music of local bands.

But if you seek the trendier and wilder side of the island, gravitate toward the Aruba night clubs scene located on L.G. Smith Boulevard in Oranjestad. Nightlife in Aruba is largely centered here, making possible an excellent club hop or pub crawl, but nightlife is to be found anywhere there are tourists from the hotel area to the beaches. Crowds are mixed and the dress style is casual, but getting spiffy is never a bad idea. Aruba bars open sometimes during the day or at the latest by 10 in the evening, but the crowds don’t really get started until around midnight so show up later if you want to see Aruba nightlife at its peak.

If hopping between the Aruba night clubs by foot doesn’t appeal to you, try out a guided bar tour. Other companies may be available, but none are as popular or complete as the Kukoo Kunuku tour. Nevermind that once you’ve had a few drinks you won’t be able to spell it or say it anymore, this bus tour of the island and clubs in Aruba is one of the best. This is no simple bar hop, but a full-day island experience. During the day, this colorful parranda bus takes you around the island, then to a dinner by the beach, and finally on an evening bar hop.

Whether you want to dance the night away or just hang out with friends, Aruba nightlife has something for you. Clubs in Aruba are nicely diverse and combine well with the excellent dining options on the island or perhaps an evening of gambling in Aruba’s Las Vegas-style casinos. All in all, as soon as you step out of your hotel room, this island is waiting to make you day fun and relaxing.
