Just northwest of the capital city of Oranjestad,
and central to the high-rise hotel district, is Palm Beach
Aruba. This beach is high on the list of best
attractions of Aruba with its powder white sand beach,
crystal blue water, and palm trees as far as the eye can
see. Really, why else did you decide to go to Aruba other
than to see sights like this? Grab a cold drink, sunbathe
or situate yourself under a palm tree for some shade,
or take a dip in the sea.
More than conveniently located, Palm Beach Aruba runs
alongside the high-rise resorts
on the island where most visitors choose to stay. Due
to the perfect water and sand on the beach, Palm Beach
vacations can revolve completely around sunbathing and
swimming easily, but this beach offers so much more. Whether
you are staying in one of the resorts lining the beach
or not, most of them open their doors and resources to
the public—bars, restaurants, facilities, and rental
equipment are in abundance because of this. Rental equipment,
in particular, is popular for Palm Beach vacations. Windsurfing,
water bikes, sailing, fishing,
or snorkeling are all excellent at this location. If you
are not sure how to do an activity, many of the resorts
also offer instruction so if you are interested in trying
a water sport, even for the first time, this is a great
place to do it. Exploring the resorts themselves can also
be a lot of fun. Much like Las
Vegas hotels, resorts here go all out in their décor.
Palm Beach vacations are typically not for those who prefer a private, untouched beach. An abundance of hotels are in the area, and the focus of the attractions of Aruba is on the activities, people watching, shopping, and great resorts. Especially in the center portion of the beach, there may be crowds. Walking the entire beach takes about an hour and to the very north and very south is usually quieter and less crowded.
If you are not staying in the hotels lining the beach, this area is still very accessible. Public bus stops are near by and the bus is a cheap and efficient way to get here. The beach is also easy to get to by car, whether you are renting a car or taking a taxi.
Palm Beach Aruba travel plans usually include a little activity, whether that means walking on the beach at sunset, bar hopping, or taking part in some water sports. While the attractions of Aruba are many and varied—including casinos, a great nightlife scene, the Lourdes Grotto, or a round a golf—a visit to the picture-perfect beaches here is a must. If you have to choose one beach to visit (but please choose more!) Palm Beach Aruba is very possibly the all-around best of the beach on this island.
