Nassau Hotels

The city of Nassau is perhaps the most popular place to vacation in the Bahamas.  Nassau beach hotels and other hotels in Nassau range in price and quality, and both luxury and budget travelers should be able to find a hotel to accommodate their vacation needs.  Nassau beach hotels also include a number of resorts and all-inclusive packages for families.  A few Nassau beach hotels are just for adults and specialize in servicing couples and honeymooners.

Luxury hotels in Nassau

A few of the nicest resorts and places to stay in the Bahamas can be found among hotels in Nassau.  Nassau hotels can be found in the heart of downtown or in the outlying areas closer to the beach.  Even if you stay in a Nassau hotel located downtown, however, you will only be about a 15 minute walk from the beach.  Luxury hotels in Nassau are often all-inclusive.  During the winter, prices will be higher then during the spring and summer.

The oldest hotel in Nassau and one of the most luxurious is the Graycliff Hotels, with was once an 18th century private home.  The building itself is a work of art, showcasing Georgian colonial architectures and has a feeling of Victorian grandeur.  The hotel has cigar service, a swimming pool, and a myriad of services to help guests get to the beach and take advantage of other Bahamas tours and activities.  In addition to the historic Graycliff, there are a number of luxury hotels located right on the beach for guests who want to be near the ocean.

Discount hotels in Nassau

Travelers hoping to find a deal on hotels in Nassau are also in luck.  Discount hotels in Nassau are also widely available, with some great options for being near the beach or in the downtown area.  If you plan to be out enjoying the sights and sounds of the Bahamas during most of your stay, discount hotels in Nassau are a great choice.  You will find clean, comfortable hotels at a budget price in both the downtown area and closer to the beach, although downtown is your best bet for the absolute lowest prices.

Guests should note that although the islands are a tropical paradise, they are still islands.  Budget hotels will sometimes be without hot water, at intervals without water at all.  Be prepared to be without power for short periods of time in a budget hotel, as well.  For many travelers who plan to spend most of their time at nightclubs and beaches, however, these inconveniences do not present an enormous problem.

Whether you choose a swanky luxury hotel or opt for a discounted hotel in Nassau, you will still have access to all of the excellent attractions that makes Nassau such a desirable place to vacation.  Historical walking tours of such sites as the Queens Staircase or an out island trip to snorkel or scuba dive are just part of the fun of a vacation in Nassau.
