Two excellent restaurants can be found on the small island. The Rock Inn Restaurant and the Three Ships Restaurant have both been operating on the island for years and serve local cuisine. There are also multiple restaurants located at the large Club Med resort on the island, and you do not need to be a hotel guest to dine there.
To get around the island of San Salvador you will likely be fine without a car. The two major hotels on the island both rent bicycles out to guests for the day, and this is probably the most enjoyable way to visit the beaches and other sites. Tourism in San Salvador tends to be a relaxed arrangement and you won’t see many cars on the island at all. If you decide to rent a car you can do so at the Riding Rock Inn Resort and Marina.
