Astwood Cove

Small, secluded, and utterly stunning, Astwood Cove Beach is an ideal spot for getting away form it all in Bermuda. Backed by rising cliffs, Astwood Cove presents a very picturesque setting. It is found in Warwick Parish toward the western reaches of the Bermuda island chain, and while there are some great public beaches in the area where lifeguards and concession stands are available, few can offer the kind of tranquility that Astwood Cove can. It is a bit of hike down to Astwood Cove Beach, which helps to make it less-crowded, and the hike is well worth the end reward.

The cliffs and rocks found at Astwood Cove Bermuda encourage visitors to bring their cameras, if not their paint brushes and canvases. So beautiful is the setting here, that those getting married in Bermuda often choose it for the site of their ceremony. The beach isn't large at Astwood Cove, and strewn about it are large rocks and boulders that help to make snorkeling here a top pursuit. Swimming is also fun here, though due to the rocks and the often rough waters, it's important that you exercise a certain level of caution, especially since there are no lifeguards on duty. Interestingly enough, various concerts take place at Astwood Cove Beach from time to time, and one would have to think that it makes an ideal venue for such events. There are no concession stands, changing facilities, or things the like at Astwood Cove Beach, but above the cove is a park where bathrooms and parking can be found. The park also offers fun nature trails and picnic tables.

It's a good idea to bring everything you think you will need when planning a hike down to Astwood Cove, including snacks, refreshments, and beach towels. Once you get down to the beach, you will likely find that it is devoid of people. This means you'll escape the crowds that can sometimes congregate at the larger and more accessible public beaches. Besides swimming, snorkeling, and picnicking, those heading to the Astwood Bermuda beach can try their hand at scaling some of the rocks found here. Staring out to sea from your rocky perch will induce plenty of relaxed daydreaming, and the alluring and magical blue waters can surely soothe the soul.

Astwood Cove Bermuda is an ideal daytrip destination, and many visitors drop by for a bit before exploring other parts of the island chain. While one day at Astwood Cove is great for some, others will prefer to return various times during their vacation. To enjoy Astwood Cove on a more regular basis, you can stay at one of the nearby hotels. The closest accommodations near the beach can be found at the Astwood Cove apartment-hotel complex, which is just a three-minute walk away. Affordable, clean, and rather quaint, this lodging choice is a good way to go if you don't want to spend a lot of money at the luxury Bermuda hotels. One of the best things about the apartment-style units at Astwood Cove Hotel is that they feature kitchens. Preparing your own meals or snacks from time to time can be a good way to cut down on your spending, and since Bermuda is a rather expensive vacation destination, this can help you stay on top of your budget. Recent renovations have helped to improve the units here, and there is simply no better place to stay if you envision multiple trips down to the Astwood Cove Beach.
