Bermuda Events

When vacationing in Bermuda, it's always a good idea to keep an eye out for some Bermuda events or festivals. There are a number of different kinds of Bermuda events and festivals to choose from, and including one of them in your Bermuda vacation plans can make for some great travel memories. Whatever your interests are, there is probably a Bermuda festival to fit your preferences.Even if you're just moderately interested in an event, you will have a very good time.

The Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts and the Bermuda Music Festival are two of the top Bermuda festivals to experience. The former takes place in January and February, and it sees performance artists from around the globe displaying their many talents. Music was originally the focus of this festival, but it has broadened over time to include the full range of performing arts. Performances for the Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts take place in three separate venues in Pembroke Parish. The City Hall Theatre and the Daylesford Theatre are two of the venues that hold performances, and they are both in Hamilton City. St John's Church is the other venue, and its found on the outskirts of town on St John's Road. The Bermuda Music Festival is a four-day event that features both Bermudian musicians and famous international acts. It takes place at the start of October. The three main concerts for the Bermuda Music Festival are held at the Bermuda National Stadium in Devonshire Parish. These two Bermuda music festivals are ideal for music lovers of all tastes.

While the aforementioned Bermuda music festivals will be music to your ears, the Bermuda Culinary Arts Festival will be a delight to your taste buds. Running its course every year in October, this succulent entry among the events in Bermuda is held in a variety of hotels across Bermuda. Famous guests often drop in for this food extravaganza, and not only will you get the chance to sample international delicacies, but also some authentic Bermudian cuisine as well. In addition to trying new foods at the Bermuda Culinary Arts Festival, you can also enjoy a wine seminar, or attend an equally informative cooking demonstration.

Adding to the list of fun Bermuda festivals is the Bermuda International Film Festival. Held in March and April, this festival showcases independent films from all corners of the globe. You can even submit your own film for consideration if you have one. The venues for the Bermuda International Film Festival are the Little Theatre, the Tradewinds Auditorium, and the Liberty Theatre.

Events in Bermuda are not always festivals. If you miss the Bermuda Music Festivals, you can often catch a live music show on any given night, especially during the summer months. Reggae and calypso bands are known to strike up beach parties that go long into the night, and you can always try to catch a live act at a pub or concert venue. Sports events in Bermuda are ideal for sports fanatics, especially those who like cricket or soccer. The Bermuda Hogges soccer team might be in the USL second division, but that doesn't mean that their games aren't exciting. Events in Bermuda can be as enjoyable as you want them to be, especially when you keep an open mind. Most Americans may know nothing about cricket, for example, but catching a game can be an enjoyable experience nonetheless, even if you are somewhat clueless throughout. Chances are good that someone in the crowd will key you in on what's going on.

Bermuda vacations are all about having fun, and the numerous Bermuda festivals and events can help you have a blast.
