Enjoying Bermuda nightlife is not usually the main reason that visitors arrange Bermuda vacations, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t find some good Bermuda bars and night clubs to hang out at. Bermuda nightlife can also see you taking in some of the performing arts if that is more your speed, so you won’t be restricted to just bars and clubs. The summer months are when Bermuda nightlife is definitely at its peak, and many resorts are known to offer evening entertainment at their various venues for both teens and adults. Whether you want to dance the night away at a club, cozy up to a pint at a pub, or head out to catch the Bermuda ballet, the Bermuda nightlife scene can at least meet you halfway.
When staying at one of the Bermuda
beach resorts, such as the Elbow Beach Resort or The
Reefs, you can belly up to one of the hotel bars for some
evening fun, and along the beaches
in Bermuda, the parties move from hotel to hotel,
so you might find yourself in either the right or wrong
spot depending on the day. Reggae bands and calypso
bands are known to offer live performances without warning
on a beach, in a club, or in a pub, and one good place
to find such entertainment is at the Royal
Naval Dockyard. Among the Royal Naval Dockyard’s
array of attractions is
Snorkel Park, which boasts
a nice beach and a fun and relaxing bar and grill. In
the evenings, bands often play on the beach here, providing
fun and free entertainment. Some resorts
in Bermuda put on evening social events, much like
the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, which is found in Hamilton
City in Pembroke Parish. On
Tuesday evenings, you can attend an Island BBQ, for example,
which begins immediately after a fun and informative rum-tasting
session.
The Fairmont Hamilton Princess has a sister property,
and it is a good spot to find one of the hippest Bermuda
clubs, at least when it comes to hotel clubs. The
Fairmont Southampton, which is found in Southampton Parish,
offers nightly entertainment in its club during the summer
months, and you can groove to the tunes that the resident
DJ throws down. For those looking for Bermuda night
clubs with a big city feel, the Splash Night Club is a
good place to check out. This chic club is the talk
of the town when it comes to Bermuda clubs, and it’s
found back in the capital city of Hamilton, which is really
your best bet overall when it comes to Bermuda bars and
Bermuda nightlife. Supposedly, Bermuda’s best DJ
has the spinning honors at Splash, and since the club
closes at 5 a.m., you can literally dance until you drop.
Hamilton City offers the most Bermuda night clubs, so you can check out a few other ones there as well. Should you be over on the East End in St Georges Parish instead, Light is a pretty good choice for Bermuda clubs. The DJs keep the music thumping until 3 a.m. here, which should be enough time to effectively shred up the dance floor. When it’s not the weekend, Light offers different specials, such as all-night drink specials on Wednesdays, or late night dinner menus on Thursdays.
Opting for a pub over a night club is the route that some visitors go, and you can enjoy English pub grub favorites as you please. Some pubs and restaurants in Bermuda offer piano sing-a-longs and things the like, so you never know when you might stumble in on something lively. The capital city of Hamilton is a good place to find pubs in Bermuda, though you’re never too far from one regardless of where you find yourself in the territory.
To help you get an idea of the Bermuda nightlife options you can grab a weekly events publication, and most hotels and visitor centers will have them. When it’s time to go home after a fun night out at one of the Bermuda night clubs or pubs, you can always call or hail a cab to get back home. You might even be within walking distance of your hotel. It just depends how far you’ve gone to find some ideal nightlife. Hopefully, your Bermuda nightlife hunt turns up some good times and some even better people. You’ll just have to play it by ear when it comes to Bermuda nightlife. Creating your own is always an option too!
