Anegada Hotels

There aren't a lot of Anegada hotels to choose from, though visitors should find that the island's lodging options offer enough in the way of variety. In addition to staying at one of the few beach hotels in Anegada, visitors can also call one of the island's vacation rentals home. The vacation rentals come in the form of villas, and they are the most luxurious accommodations on the island. The hotels themselves are little more than inns or guesthouses when it comes down to it, and they are usually short on amenities and facilities. Since the accommodations in Anegada BVI are relatively expensive on the whole, visitors who want to save on lodging can always go camping. The mosquitoes tend to be bad on Anegada Island, so bringing bug spray along for the trip is recommended, especially when camping at places like the Anegada Campground.

The best of the beach hotels in Anegada is the Anegada Reef Hotel. This is the only major hotel that can be found on Anegada Island, and it is a few miles east of the small airport. It's a short walk from the rooms to the beach at the isolated Anegada Reef Hotel, and spending time on the beach is one of the most popular things to do. The notorious Horseshoe Reef basically circles the island, so the Anegada beaches boast calm water that is ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Other activities that can be enjoyed during a stay at the Anegada Reef Hotel include birdwatching and fishing. Both bone fishing and deep sea fishing adventures can be arranged for an added fee. The hotel has twenty rooms. While not luxurious by any means, the rooms at this popular Anegada lodging establishment are clean and comfortable. Standard in-room amenities include air conditioning, an iron, and a coffee maker. The ocean deluxe rooms are the most attractive, as they feature shaded entrances and fancier bathrooms. The rates include all meals, and guests will be happy to know that the hotel is home to one of the island's best restaurants. The nightly beach barbecue is usually a blast, and you can always grab some drinks at the onsite bar.

For those who want to enjoy a slice of luxury when it comes to Anegada lodging, staying in a villa is the way to go. The Anegada Seaside Villas offers seven villa units to choose from, and each of these spacious units features a stylish, tropical décor. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, private laundry facilities, a TV, and a CD player. When guests aren't preparing meals in their private kitchens, they can take advantage of their personal barbecue grills. Firing up the grill can be extra tempting if you happen to catch something while fishing on your Anegada getaway. The villas at Anegada Seaside Villas also enjoy fantastic locations. Guests can literally walk out their doors and have miles of lovely, white-sand beaches at their disposal. Thanks to the added privacy that the villas afford, couples who are planning a BVI wedding or honeymoon might keep them in mind.

Many of the Anegada hotels offer relatively simple cottages that visitors can rent, and such is the case at Anegada Beach Cottages (pictured). This Anegada lodging operation has four cottages to choose from, and each of these cottages features a kitchen, ample furnishings, a porch, and a radio with a CD player. They also have full bathrooms and can be found within 50 feet of a long and enticing beach. There is no air condition, though each of the units is equipped with fans that help to keep things comfortable. The ocean breezes also help to keep the heat at bay. Two of the cottages at Anegada Beach Cottages are attached, and they can be rented separately or together. A door can be opened between them to allow for indoor access. Since the cottages are approximately 500 feet apart from one another, guests will enjoy a considerable amount of privacy and tranquility. As such, couples who are looking for Anegada lodging might keep them in mind.

Neptune's Treasure is one of the most popular beach hotels in Anegada, and as is true at the other lodging establishments on the island, it isn't hard to relax here. Guests can choose to book a more affordable room or a more expensive cottage at Neptune's Treasure, and all of the guest units are less than a couple hundred feet from the beach. Standard amenities throughout include air conditioning, a private bathroom, and a mini refrigerator. The cottages, in addition to being larger, are also newer than the guest rooms. As such, they boast decors that are fresher and more attractive. High-speed Internet access is available at Neptune's Treasure, so guests can stay in touch with friends, or plan fun BVI tours online. When hunger hits, a trip to the hotel's restaurant might be in order. Known for offering what essentially amounts to the freshest seafood in the archipelago, the restaurant at Neptune's Treasure has earned quite a reputation. Even if you aren't staying at Neptune's Treasure, you might pay the hotel a visit just to eat at its renowned restaurant. Most of the Anegada hotels feature restaurants, and the bulk of these restaurants are quite good.
