Smuggler’s Cove Tortola

Smuggler's Cove Tortola is one of the most idyllic places to relax in the British Virgin Islands, and when visitors aren't soaking up some rays and enjoying the soft, powdery sand, they are often donning snorkeling gear and exploring the underwater depths. The calm bay at Smuggler's Cove Beach is utterly perfect for snorkeling, and conditions are also good for swimming. This is about as tranquil as a beach destination gets, and the beautiful Caribbean setting only adds to the quality of the overall experience.
When you want to go snorkeling in the British Virgin Islands, Smuggler's Cove Tortola is arguably the best destination. A reef lies just offshore at Smuggler's Cove in the BVI, and it can be explored by beginning and advanced snorkelers alike. Among the curious creatures that can be admired at the reef are sea fans, sponges, and brain corals. Snorkeling is the main activity at Smuggler's Cove Beach, with swimming and sunbathing being popular as well. Beach chairs are available for rent for those who prefer doing little more than relaxing, while the beach bar and snack stand can come in handy when a break from the sun, sand, and water is in order.
Smuggler's Cove in the BVI can be found on the western end of Tortola, and visitors might be interested to know that it is within walking distance of Long Bay. Long Bay boasts the only full-service resort on the island, so it makes for a popular travel base. Cane Garden Bay and Brewer's Bay are two other Tortola beaches that beach enthusiasts won't want to miss, and they figure among the liveliest strips of sand in the land. In addition to boating and diving, hanging out at the beach figures among the top things to do in the British Virgin Islands, and all of these beaches can more than satisfy your need for some fun in the sun.
