Cayman Brac hotels are positioned at various points across the island, with the Cayman Breakers Resort offering the closest proximity to the famed Bluff. Whether you are looking for cheap lodging, a vacation rental or condo, a hotel, or a base for you dividing vacations here, Cayman Brac has something for you.
As is true of so many Cayman Islands hotels, the Breakers Resort offers condominiums as guest units. These guest units boast full kitchens and a good amount of space. The majority of the Cayman Brac hotels offer excellent packages that guests can take advantage of, and if nothing else, these packages will include a room and a meal plan. Some of the Cayman Brac accommodations blend the vacation rental experience with the hotel experience, offering various facilities and services for guests to take advantage of when they're not relaxing in their spacious condos or villas.
The Brac Reef Beach Resort (pictured), as is true of the other Cayman Brac accommodations, is ideal for relaxing diving vacations. There is a dive shop right on the premises, and when guests aren't arranging diving excursions or lessons, they can steal away to the resort's lovely beach for a swim or claim a hammock and relax. The limestone bluff on Cayman Brac's east side is a blast to hike and climb, and Brac Reef guests can always grab one of the resort's bicycles to go on a sightseeing tour. The facilities at the Brac Reef Beach Resort include a restaurant, a bar, and a fitness center, and guests also have a tennis court, and a beautiful swimming pool to take advantage of. This might not be an overly luxurious hotel, but it does have a spa. As for the guest units, there are 40 clean and comfortable rooms to choose from. Standard in-room amenities include cable TV, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a coffee maker, a hair dryer, and wicker furnishings.
For travelers who have a condo in mind when it comes to lodging in Cayman Brac, the Brac Caribbean Beach Resort is likely to be quite attractive. At the Brac Caribbean Beach Resort, there are sixteen condo units, and as is true of other Cayman Brac accommodations, these condo units have been renovated. Hurricane Paloma did a lot of damage to many of the island's structures when it passed through in 2008. The rooms are akin to the rooms at the Brac Reef Beach Resort, in that they aren't overly luxurious or overflowing with amenities. That being said, all of the condos at the Brac Caribbean Beach Resort feature full kitchens. The guest condos are relatively spacious, and they provide a considerable amount of comfort for guests to enjoy when they're not out diving or snorkeling. More guest units are on offer next door at the neighboring Carib Sands Resort for travelers who want to add to the lodging options. The biggest difference between the guest units at the two resorts is their size. Whereas the Carib Sands Resort condos can have anywhere from one to four bedrooms, the Brac Caribbean condos are all two-bedroom units. As far as the general facilities are concerned, both of the resorts offer pools, restaurants, and bars. The restaurant at the Brac Caribbean is especially good and is popular with tourists and locals.
The Cayman Breakers Condominiums is one of the other hotels worth keeping in mind when searching for lodging in Cayman Brac. While this resort doesn't sit on a sandy beach, it is wedged between a rocky ironshore coast and the rising face of the island's 140-foot bluff. Rock climbers will especially appreciate the location, and there are caves to be explored for those who are interested. The secluded location of the Cayman Breakers Condominiums hotel means that guests will find it easy to unwind, and when they're not basking in the relaxed atmosphere, they can dive right off the coast. The shore dive entrance is only for guests. While the facilities at the Cayman Breakers Condominiums are limited, there is a small freshwater pool that can be used for refreshing swims. Guests can also grab a bicycle and go for a ride when they find themselves with some down time. There isn't a restaurant at the hotel, but each of the condos is equipped with a full kitchen. There is also a restaurant a few minutes away, and take out orders can be placed. Keeping with the apparent theme, the guest units at this lodging in Cayman Brac aren't luxurious. They are relatively well equipped, however. Each two-bedroom, two-bath condo at the Cayman Breakers Condominiums features a full kitchen and private laundry facilities.
Rounding out the choices for Cayman Brac hotels is Walton's Mango Manor, and for those who are interested in luxury, it is arguably the best place to stay. There are only five guestrooms at this intimate bed and breakfast, and they are all attractive and tasteful. There is also a separate, two-bedroom villa that offers the most luxurious edge. Whereas the amenities in the guestrooms are essentially limited to antique furnishings, air conditioning, and private bathrooms with showers, the cottage boasts all this and more. For starters, the villa has a private kitchen, and unlike the rooms, it also boasts a TV and private laundry facilities. Originally built in 1932, Walton's Mango Manor was once an island home, and it has been wonderfully restored. Breakfast is included in the rates, but a car will generally be needed to get to the closest restaurants.
