Beach Resorts in Curacao - Hyatt Regency Resort

Curacao beach resorts are about the only kind of accommodation you will find along the island's coastline, even within the limits of the bustling capital city of Willemstad. They range from the extravagant and extensive Hyatt Regency Resort—the newest and finest luxury beach resort in Curacao on beautiful Barbara Beach at the far southern tip of the island—to the intimate Habitat Resort, one of the most prestigious dive resorts on the island and to several beach hotels as well. Two of the best beachfront resorts in Curacao are located within the city limits of Willemstad. They are the Hilton Resort and the Marriott Resort, both located in the same area in the western outskirts of the city near Piscadera Bay. Each is a luxury beach resort in Curacao with extensive resort facilities, including casinos and lovely private beaches.

One of the most remote of the beachfront resorts in Curacao is the lovely Kura Hulanda Lodge. It is located on the far northwestern tip of the island in Westpunt (West Point) and set on cliffs that dramatically overlook beautiful Playa Kalkli Beach, the best single location for scuba diving and snorkeling. As is true with all Curacao beach resorts the Kura Hulanda has an onsite PADI certified dive operator, which is good since this area is one of the best locations for scuba diving.

Virtually all Curacao beach resorts are also dive resorts, as they almost all have an onsite partner PADI certified dive operator. However, some, like the Habitat Resort, are particularly known for the high quality of their diving and locations that provide some of the best snorkeling on the island. The most remote luxury beach resort in Curacao like this is the beautiful Kura Hulanda Lodge, picturesquely located on dramatic cliffs overlooking popular Playa Kalki Beach. This exclusive resort is the sister property of the elite Kura Hulanda Hotel in the Otrobanda District of Willemstad where the respected Museum Kura Hulanda district is located. Here are luxurious rooms and suites as well as luxurious villas, all located in lush gardens full of colorful hummingbirds, parrots, and butterflies.

If you are looking for beachfront resorts in Curacao that place you close to all the action, look to Sea Aquarium Beach to the south east of Willemstad. This area is known for its many beach bars and dining spots, great nightlife that often includes live music, and the unique Curacao Sea Aquarium. The Sea Aquarium is actually on a small private island connected to the main beach by a walkway. If you are enjoying family vacations, your children will be thrilled with their accommodations at the Royal Sea Aquarium Resort. This unusual property is built on a neighboring private island connected by the same walkway, and offers lovely one and two bedroom villas and studios, swimming pools, and restaurant. The island is completely encircled by a private beach offering every sort of water activity including rides in a sightseeing submarine reaching depth of up to 1,000 feet. Admission to the aquarium is free for guests, and the children can even have part-time "jobs" helping to train dolphins and feed the stingrays and sharks. The action on Sea Aquarium Beach is a short stroll away, and the shopping and attractions of Willemstad are ten minutes away.
