Hilton Resort Curacao
Hilton Curacao enjoys a wonderful location on the sea about four miles northwest of the capital city of Willemstad. It’s about the same distance south of Hato International Airport and the remarkable Hato Caves. It is set on one of the tips of Piscadera Bay, and boasts two private beaches. These are two of the things that make the Hilton Curacao Resort so popular. The beaches mean you can have a fairly exclusive beach for lazy sunbathing, but still have easy access to the island’s sophisticated and historic capital as well as all the other attractions of the island.
Like most luxury hotels on the island, the Hilton Curacao partners with a professional PADI certified dive operator, so when you’re tired of tame snorkeling off the beach, you can head off to Klein Curacao or other good scuba diving sites for some more adventurous water sports.
Hilton Curacao Pool
The Hilton Curacao Resort boasts a number of other facilities that make it excellent for family vacations, business travelers, and romantic getaways. There are three swimming pools (including an infinity pool), two-person kayaks available for rent, a children’s club with professionally supervised activities, meeting and conference rooms, and everything needed to cater for weddings and other special events. There is also a full-service spa and fitness center and one of the island’s casinos is located here. This is the Curacao Casino, one of the largest on the island, with a variety of table games and close to 200 slot machines. The resort grounds are lovely with lush tropical gardens, and you will find tennis courts and even a miniature golf course. For those who really want to get in a round of golf, the island’s only true golf course is ten minutes away. This is a beautiful 18-hole course along the sea that is on the grounds of the Blue Bay Resort, which offers villas accommodating two to six guests.
The Hilton Curacao Resort caters to families with a separate children’s swimming pool and the Kidz Paradise Club offering supervised activities of exploration and kid-friendly entertainment, with the children divided into age groups. The Kidz Clubhouse offers video games and a large outdoor playground with an oversized chessboard. Very attractive to families on a budget is the fact that children under age 18 stay free. They eat completely free if they’re under age five, and those between ages 5 and 12 get free breakfast and 50 percent discount on other meals. This means that families don’t really need to find vacation rentals with kitchens to save on dining out costs.
Dining at the Hilton Curacao offers a wide variety, including the main restaurant, an elegant Italian restaurant, a beach bar and grill, and a separate bar serving cocktails as well as beer from the property’s own brewery. Rooms and suites are spacious, and many feature balconies. While this is not one of the island’s over-the-top luxury hotels, it provides good accommodations at reasonable prices—and its location can hardly be beat if you want to be within only a few minutes of all the things to do in Curacao.
