Sunscape Curacao Resort

Sunscape Curacao Resort is located at the northern tip of Sea Aquarium Beach and boasts its own 1,500-foot stretch of pure white sand. Sea Aquarium Beach is the most happening of the beaches on the island, with great nightlife and still only a mile from the most popular districts of the capital city of Willemstad. Just about all the most popular things to do in Curacao are readily available at the resort or nearby.

Like most of the other major hotels and resorts on the island, the Sunscape Curacao Resort partners with a PADI certified scuba diving operator. One shore dive per day is included as part of vacation packages booked here. For an additional charge, you can book boat dives, night dives, and certification training dives. Beginning offshore at the Sunscape Curacao Resort and stretching for almost 1,500 acres all the way to the southeast tip of the island is the Curacao Marine Park, also known as the Curacao Underwater Park. Within its protected waters are some of the finest coral reefs in the region, providing superb diving and snorkeling. If you’re not up for snorkeling or scuba diving, the resort offers three swimming pools and Jacuzzis, tennis courts, beach volleyball, windsurfing and Hobie cat sailing, kayaks and paddleboats, and shuffleboard.

The Sunscape Curacao Resort Spa & Casino also has bicycles, a fitness center, and a full-service spa. While there are fees for most spa services, they are reasonably priced for guests. For a little nightlife, there is a discotheque, karaoke lounge, pianist, and other entertainment. One of the island’s casinos, the Princess Casino, is located right next to the resort.

As its name suggests, the Sunscape Curacao Resort Spa & Casino includes just about everything you can eat, drink, or do within the resorts grounds. This makes the property extremely attractive for those on family vacations. There are several bars throughout the property serving endless cocktails and other drinks all day and night. Several of these bars are also grills and snack bars, serving unlimited snacks. Even dinners at their casually elegant restaurants are included, although reservations are usually required. These restaurants include a Japanese and an Italian dining spot. The children’s snack bar is open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., serving hot dogs, burgers, and other light snacks. Families with children will also appreciate the supervised activities for young people and even a nursery for the very young. Supervised children’s activities include, a rock climbing wall, trapeze instruction, theme parties, and even sumo wrestling. Down at the end of Sea Aquarium Beach within walking distance is the unique Curacao Sea Aquarium, which will delight all ages. Here the family can swim with dolphins, feed sharks and manta rays, and even take sightseeing submarine cruises to depths of 1,000 feet.
