Dominica Beach Hotels

Dominica beach hotels are among the most charming accommodations on the island, particularly as this quiet, scenic destination ensures that your time near the beach won’t be packed with tourists, which is often the case at other beach hotels in the Caribbean. Although finding a beach hotel in Dominica may not be as straightforward as booking one on another island, where nearly all of the accommodations are along the beach, there are nevertheless plenty of great choices for your Dominica vacation.

Dominica is known as the best scuba diving destination in the Caribbean, and thus the coastal areas are among the most popular places for visitors to stay. Many of the Dominica beach hotels are the upper price bracket, but the value for what you pay is generally quite good. Among the best options for a beach hotel in Dominica is the Sunset Bay Club & Seaside Dive Resort. The Sunset Bay Club is in between Portsmouth and Roseau, and it’s located right by the beach. The Seaside Dive Center offers equipment, instructors, and access to several excellent dive sites around the island. Sunset Bay hotel rooms include ceiling fans, mosquito netting, private bathrooms, and a terrace with table and chairs; options for accommodations include the bungalows, family room, double room, suite room, and terrace room.

Beau Rive is a beautiful option for a beach hotel in Dominica, though it’s farther away from the island’s main cities, so it’s not the most popular option for travelers who want a Roseau or Portsmouth Dominica hotel. That said, it has beautifully spacious rooms decorated to complement the tropical atmosphere and gorgeous views of the island’s coastal landscape and sea cliffs. There are ten double rooms, each of which has an ocean view, veranda, queen-size bed, and private shower room. Guests can also take advantage of the roof terrace bar, swimming pools, citrus and spice gardens, the lounge, and a forest trail to hike to the Richmond River.

The Belle Cote Villa is a beautiful option for a vacation rental near the beach, which suites groups of up to ten people. The villa is located in Calibishie, between Hodges Beach and Pointe Baptiste Beach. The two-story structure includes a full kitchen, dining room, and living room, as well as laundry facilities, and a master suite with a private bedroom and bath. There are also two poolside bedrooms, covered balconies, and a full bath.

For those in search of a more reasonably priced hotel, then a Portsmouth Dominica hotel is a great way to go. The Portsmouth Beach Hotel offers low rates all year, but especially in the off-season, when rates can be as low as about $60 a night. Gorgeous views, plenty of amenities and facilities, cozy accommodations, and a laid-back and relaxing atmosphere are all part of a vacation spent at this Portsmouth Dominica Hotel. On-site dining is available, and vacationers are close to a number of the great outdoor things to do in Dominica, including Cabrits National Park, Syndicate Waterfalls, and the ruins of Fort Shirley.

Whether you choose a more affordable beach hotel or one of the grand villas near the sea, a vacation spent on the coast of Dominica is sure to be unforgettable.
