A new wellness center is just one of the things that guests can take advantage
of when staying at the Club Med Resort in Punta Cana. Spa treatments aren’t
included in the all inclusive rates, but you’re on vacation and deserve to splurge
a little anyhow. You can also spend some money on the side playing a challenging
round at one of the nearby golf
courses, and since you’re close to Punta Cana village, you can easily access
its new shopping
center. When you look at a map of Punta Cana, you’ll notice that the Club Med
Punta Cana all
inclusive resort is due east of the airport, which is convenient for those
arriving on flights.
After grabbing your luggage, it’s just a short ride to the resort, where you
can quickly kick up your feet and begin relaxing. Boasting a party-friendly
atmosphere, the Club Med Resort in Punta Cana is an excellent choice for adults
who want to socialize, and because of its kids clubs and its long list of activities,
it’s also a good lodging option for families. If you prefer a quieter, more
low-key resort, then the Club Med might not be the best choice for you, but
it’s always worth a look regardless of what you have in mind.
Club Meds Rooms
Club Med Room
Recent renovations at the Club Med Punta Cana have done well to update the rooms and the resort’s other facilities. When you’re not enjoying the resort facilities or lounging around in your comfortable room, there’s always the resort’s private beach to consider. Just over 1,300 feet long, the beach is spacious and tantalizing, and for those who are interested in doing some snorkeling, there is a reef just offshore. Other activities that won’t cost you extra to enjoy include tennis, beach soccer, and beach volleyball, and guests also have access to the resort’s fitness center, its main swimming pools, and the nightclub. Kids love trying out the circus-like trapeze on the hotel grounds, and lessons in things like archery, dancing, and fitness training only help to keep everyone in the group busy. Tours and excursions that leave the resort grounds are also available for an extra fee. It’s up to you just how busy you want to be when staying at the Club Med Punta Cana all inclusive resort. Thankfully, whenever the need for activity strikes, there’s always something to enjoy.
Not that spending a lot of time in the room is what most guests are after at the Club Med Resort in Punta Cana, but you easily could with rooms this comfortable and keen on amenities. While not the most luxurious rooms in this beautiful beachfront stretch of the Dominican Republic, the 553 guest units (plus another 78 "adults only" rooms) here are far from basic. Suites that top 750 square feet in size are available for those who want added room and comfort, and should you book a Club Room, you’ll enjoy additional perks, like guest robes and slippers and a nightly turndown service. Even the standard Deluxe Rooms are spacious, offering not only a bedroom, but also a separate living area. Add on the fact that a private balcony or terrace is found in every unit, and you’ll have plenty of space to unwind. The amenities in the different room choices vary a bit, but all in all you can expect each unit to feature a flat-screen cable TV, air conditioning, a mini-fridge, a CD player alarm clock, a coffee maker, and a safe. A hair dryer, an iron, and an ironing board are also provided for your convenience. Beach towels and bath products are complimentary in each room, and daily housekeeping helps to keep things sparkling. All of the guest rooms are housed in lovely, pastel-colored buildings, which only helps to contribute to the resort’s already pleasant setting.
Adults-Only Zen Oasis at Club Med
Adults Only Club Med
You may love kids, but if you're looking for some grownup time, Club Med now has you covered. The new 78-room "Zen Oasis" area for adults has opened and will provide adults with a chance to escape from it all. The Zen Oasis will feature a secluded beach and a variety of amenities, ranging from spas and soaking tubs to rainfall showers and in-pool lounge chairs. Businesses or groups are able to book the entire premises for their retreats. As opposed to other adults-only resorts which tend to focus more on the clothing-optional or the sensual aspects of "adults only," Club Med seems to be focusing on the relaxing, calm, and ambient setting that may appeal to adults traveling without children.
Outside of the rooms, lush gardens and tall palm trees accent the resort grounds, giving the Club Med Punta Cana quite the tropical feel. Adding to the tropical setting is the large, lagoon-style main pool, which is a great place to unwind. You can also unwind at the two bars at the Club Med Punta Cana, one of which is found on the beach. In addition to coffee, tea, juice, and soda, you can also get alcoholic drinks at the resort’s bars without having to pay extra. Your all inclusive fees cover the majority of the beers, wines, and international spirits that are on offer. Also included in your all inclusive rates are your meals, and while there are fewer dining choices here than at some of the other Punta Cana resorts, you won’t go hungry. Both of the restaurants at the Club Med Punta Cana all inclusive resort are buffet-style eateries that offer a wide scope of international food selections. Most snack items are included in the rates as well, so you’ll have no problem finding something to eat between your meals. Virtually everything is taken care of for you when you book an all inclusive stay at the Club Med Punta Cana, so you’ll have little more to do than simply enjoy yourself!
