Beaches

It’s the mile after mile of idyllic beaches that first catch the attention of most Punta Cana visitors. This destination revolves around fun in the sun, and there’s plenty of fun to be had at the beaches here. The soft, white sand encourages barefoot walks, while the mostly calm ocean waters invite swimmers and snorkelers to splash around. Scuba Diving
Both expert and beginner divers will have a blast scuba diving in Punta Cana. It’s one of the top activities in Punta Cana for a reason. The sport can be enjoyed year round here, and the water visibility is excellent. Just offshore from Punta Cana, the 24-mile long Punta Cana reef awaits beginner divers, while the nearby islands of Isla Saoma and Isla Catalina are often the destinations for advanced divers. Coral reefs, shipwrecks, and underwater caves are just some of the things that await you when you add scuba diving to the itinerary.
Snorkeling
You don’t have to go scuba diving to explore the underwater realms in Punta Cana, as there’s always snorkeling to enjoy as well. The all inclusive resorts will be happy to lend you snorkeling equipment at no extra fee, and most of them offer their guests daily tours out to the Punta Cana reef at no cost. At beaches like Bavaro Beach, the offshore reef protects the coastline, making for calm and shallow waters that are ideal for off-the-beach snorkeling. You might consider bringing your own mask and snorkel if you really plan on doing a lot of snorkeling.
Fishing
Fishing is just one of the many activities in Punta Cana that can get you out on the water, and if you like deep-sea fishing, then you are in luck. One of the best things about fishing in Punta Cana is the fact that you won’t have to go far to find the best spots. Dining
When you count all of the different restaurants that the Punta Cana resorts offer, you have yourself quite a collection of eateries. Dining is one of the more enjoyable things to do in Punta Cana due to the selection. If you are staying at one of the resorts and have booked an all inclusive package, your meals will be included. Both buffet restaurants and a la carte restaurants are offered at the resorts, and you can also check out some independent restaurants as well.
