While most of the luxury
hotels in Punta Cana are large and sprawling resorts, the Punta Cana Sivory
Resort is more akin to a boutique hotel with added facilities. Instead of hundreds
of guest rooms, the Sivory Punta Cana offers just 55 suites. As you should expect
at any 5-star hotel, the service is excellent at the Hotel Sivory in Punta Cana,
and guests can choose from two different lodging packages to suit their needs.
Basically, if you book the EP Plan, most everything but your meals are included
in the rates. Should you prefer to have all of your meals and drinks included
in the overall experience, not to mention other additional benefits, then you
can choose the all inclusive Sivory Plan. It should be noted that while children
are accepted at the Sivory Punta Cana, the hotel is primarily geared towards
couples. As such, families will do better to stay at one of the more family-oriented
resorts, such as the Occidental
Grand Resort and Spa.
When you come to the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic, you are most likely looking to enjoy fun in the Caribbean sun, not to mention plenty of relaxation. The 55 luxurious suites at the Hotel Sivory in Punta Cana certainly encourage guests to unwind. There are six different kinds of suites to choose from, with the Sivory Grand Suite being the most coveted. It boasts 2,250 square feet of blissful space, not to mention a Jacuzzi tub on the dazzling balcony. It’s definitely luxury all the way. The amenities decrease a bit as you work back down to the base-level Deluxe Jr. Suites, which are still very comfortable. At 650 square feet, they are spacious enough for most, and they are also full of amenities. It’s hard to find fault with the rooms at the Punta Cana Sivory Resort, that’s for sure.
Regardless of the style of suite that you choose at the Sivory Punta Cana Resort, an attractive, modern decor awaits you and ample furnishings abound. Your private balcony will have chaise lounges so you can lay back and let your cares drift away, and in addition to satellite TV, you will enjoy the use of a DVD player, a CD player, and internet access, so it’s as hard to be bored in your room as it is outside of it. Other amenities on the long list include either a king-size bed or two double beds, a safety deposit box for valuables, guest robes and slippers, signature bath products, a mini-bar, and a desk. All the basic amenities, such as coffee makers and hair dryers, are provided as well.
In addition to quality rooms, the Hotel Sivory in Punta Cana also boasts quality
restaurants and bars. There are three of each, and those who book the all inclusive
Sivory Plan will have all their meals and drinks included. While one of the
Sivory restaurants specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, another focuses primarily
on French cuisine. As for the remaining restaurant, it is an intimate Asian-fusion
eatery with just eight tables. The food is excellent at each restaurant, so
you won’t have to worry when it comes to deciding what to eat. You also won’t
have to stress out over what to do during your stay, as multiple activities
are extended to guests as well.
During the day, those who book the EP Plan can enjoy access to non-motorized watersports equipment for an hour, while those who book the Sivory Plan will have access to such equipment on an unlimited basis. Among the watersports that you can enjoy include snorkeling, sailing, and kayaking. Both plans allow you to use the resort’s wellness facilities, which include a thermal pool, a fitness center, and a sauna, and you will also have full use of the main hotel pool, which is an impressive pool to say the least. Spa treatments will cost extra, but are worth it if you have room in the budget. Come nighttime, the nightlife at the Punta Cana Sivory Resort is at a minimum when compared to most of the other Punta Cana Resorts, but the bars are pleasant and most guests don’t come seeking a party atmosphere. That doesn’t mean that you aren’t encouraged to let your hair down a bit. In addition to the activities that the hotel offers directly, you can also consider booking side tours or excursions. Fishing and scuba diving are among the top things to do in Punta Cana, and you can always sprinkle in some rounds of golf during your trip if you please as well.
