Grenada All Inclusive

Grenada all inclusive vacation deals are available to visitors in a variety of ways. Tour operators in the United States and Europe often market Grenada all inclusive packages in which they put together many different features that aren’t necessarily offered together. These generally include international flights, accommodations in hotels, and possibly some meals and excursions to the island’s interior.

A Grenada all inclusive vacation can also be booked directly through some properties—especially luxury hotels and resorts—and some of the local tour operators. A number of scuba diving operators and yacht charter companies offer Grenada all inclusive packages in which their boats are actually the accommodations. Guests can then enjoy boating through the islands along with snorkeling and diving. These packages generally include some land excursions, particularly hiking trips up into the rain forest covered mountains of Grand Etang National Park.

There are only a few genuine Grenada all inclusive resorts similar to the Club Med and Sandals resorts that most Americans are familiar with. These are all on the main island, clustered around the capital city of St George's and Grand Anse Beach, and are all luxury hotels. Do not think you need to book these luxury hotels for an all inclusive vacation. Check out some of the bed and breakfasts, which sometimes either have, or are connected to, a full-service restaurant and offer an all inclusive meal package. This is necessary, especially on Petite Martinique Island and Carriacou Island, which are fairly undeveloped and do not have the variety of dining opportunities available on the larger island.

As with many such properties around the world, it is possible to book a room only or to choose the all inclusive package. In fact, these Grenada all inclusive resorts present you with a menu of amenities and activities from which you can choose certain features. Room only, for instance, generally means bed and breakfasts during your stay. Half board would mean room, breakfasts, and dinners.

The Rex Grenadian’s (pictured) menu of Grenada all inclusive packages are typical of the features offered by the other Grenada all inclusive resorts located in this area. The package includes three meals daily, a certain number of Caribbean cocktails each day, as well as local beers, house spirits and wines, and soft drinks. Additionally, there is no fee for the equipment required for snorkeling, small boat sailing, windsurfing, and daytime tennis (if you want to play at night on the lighted courts, there is a fee). You can also join a free beginner scuba lesson in the resort’s swimming pool. For those guests on family vacations, there are a number of supervised children’s activities. The Rex Grenadian is located on Pink Gin Beach, about two miles south of Grand Anse Beach.

The most elegant of the Grenada all inclusive vacation resorts are the Spice Island Beach Resort, located right on Grand Anse Beach, and the adults only La Source (also on Pink Gin Beach). La Source owns the only golf course (a 9-hole par 3 executive course) on the island, and allows free access to its guests. La Source also includes some more exotic facilities and activities in its packages, such as a daily spa treatment, water skiing, and scuba diving. These activities are generally excluded from packages, and only available with an additional fee.
