Grenada Resorts

Grenada resorts are fairly plentiful on the largest main island and offer anyone seeking a lovely resort vacation the perfection options. Located close to the best beaches and with an array of amenities, Grenada resorts have something for anyone traveling to this country.

Mariposa Beach Resort, one of the best Grenada beach resorts, is located on Morne Rouge Beach, just around Quarantine Point from Grand Anse Beach. It is surrounded by lush grounds and quite secluded. With only eight buildings, the resort feels intimate and small, but offers enough services to please any traveler. Thirty-one rooms feature Internet access, air conditioning, and furnishings from around the world. Dining options and a poolside restaurants are onsite, and package deals are available for weddings, honeymoons, and scuba diving excursions. scuba diving.

Another of the Grenada resorts in this area is the Maca Bana, located a little further south and overlooking Magazine Beach. This is a small eco-friendly boutique property with only seven one- and two-bedroom banas. The luxury accommodations all overlook the sea and have private decks with hot tubs. You can choose from dining at the popular seafood restaurant next door or cooking in your own fully equipped kitchen. It is even possible to book chefs from the neighboring restaurant to come to your bana and provide cooking lessons and you work together to prepare a meal.

On the largest main island, it is Grand Anse Beach resorts that provide the most numerous properties with extensive international facilities and services. This is the most popular beach in the country, and boasts more than two miles of fine white sand. This beach begins just to the south of the capital city of St George's; the main road runs quite close alongside of it, and everything here is quite accessible. There are numerous outlets to book water activities, including cruises and boating trips around the coast for snorkeling and scuba diving. Some of the Grand Anse Beach resorts are all inclusive properties that include three meals daily (including a selection of alcoholic beverages) and complimentary use of a number of facilities and service. Among the all inclusive Grand Anse Beach resorts are the Rex Grenadian, Spice Island Beach Resort (pictured), and La Source.

While most of the best resorts in Grenada are on the western (leeward) side of the island, there is a lovely property on the opposite side—the Bel Air Plantation Resort, located on the south western coast overlooking St Davids Bay. There is a small secluded beach and a pier for dinghies and small boats. Total capacity of the resort is 30 guests in beautiful one and two bedroom cottages and villas (with full kitchens), an excellent harbor side restaurant, and a scenic infinity pool. Another of the Grenada resorts located on the side of the island is the La Sagesse, also a small property with rooms in a historic old manor house and several cottage rooms.

Although all the islands have beautiful beaches, there are no Grenada beach resorts on tiny Petite Martinique Island or even on larger Carriacou Island. There are a couple properties on Carriacou that call themselves Grenada beach resorts or luxury hotels, but they don’t really have the facilities and services to fully qualify. Fortunately, those two undeveloped islands are quite beautiful, and there are enough activities to satisfy every taste and keep everyone on vacations there occupied.
