Beautiful Cornwall Beach can make for an excellent place to spend some time while in the Montego Bay area. Formerly a public beach, this delightful strip of sand was closed for several years so that it could be renovated. Now privately-owned, it charges a small admission fee. This fee helps maintain the excellent facilities, the likes of which include a café, a bar, changing rooms, lockers, showers, and bathrooms; overall, it's one of the nicest beaches in Jamaica.
Cornwall Beach is found on Jamaica’s northwest coast and is considered to be one of the Montego Bay beaches. Among other things, it is known for its soft, white sand and its calm, turquoise waters. The swimming is usually splendid due to the calm water, and visitors who are looking to splash around might be tempted to rent a water toy of some kind. The giant floating devices that are known as Saturn rings can surely be fun. As for hanging out on dry land, it is possible to rent a beach chair or a beach umbrella at Cornwall Beach and simply kick back for a while. Visitors are also known to play some beach volleyball, and there are interesting beachfront gardens to check out. Of course, the bar or the café might also be calling.
Cornwall Beach is smaller than neighboring Doctor’s Cave Beach, though it usually manages to stay less crowded than its larger neighbor. As for other things that are worth highlighting when it comes to this enticing strip of sand, it is patrolled by lifeguards, thus adding to the family-friendly edge, and visitors can look to arrange fun boat tours on the side.
