Isla Verde Beach

Isla Verde Beach is one of the most renowned beaches in the San Juan area of Puerto Rico. More specifically found along Avenida Los Gobernadores in Carolina, this wide and large stretch of sand is actually more a collection of different beaches. Lining the collective strip are high-rise resorts and upscale condos, so the area is a popular place to stay. It is also a popular place to play. Possible activities include such things as surfing and parasailing.

Isla Verde Beach is both long and wide. In fact, it is the longest and widest of the San Juan beaches. That makes it ideal for languid strolls, though strolling certainly isn’t the only activity option. In addition to surfing and parasailing, Isla Verde Beach Puerto Rico visitors can go swimming, do a little body boarding, take to area waters on a jet ski, or go waterskiing, among other things. This wide range of possibilities makes it among the more popular beaches in Puerto Rico. Also found in the area are other cafes and restaurants, not to mention bars and clubs. Complementing these establishments are shops that can be fun to duck into on the side.

Puerto Rico’s Isla Verde Beach has a Miami Beach feel to it. In other words, it is a popular, trendy, and lively beach resort area that is home to various things that visitors can look to take advantage of. As far as the accommodations are concerned, those who are looking to go the hotel route can choose from several different excellent lodging establishments. Examples of some of the best are the El San Juan Resort & Casino, the Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort, the Intercontinental San Juan Resort & Casino, and the Ritz-Carlton San Juan Spa & Casino.

As a side note, Carolina lies to the near east of San Juan and helps form Puerto Rico’s metropolitan area. In recent decades, it has become a very popular tourist destination, and the numerous hotels are proof of this. Also of interest for tourists is the fact that Carolina is home to the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. This is the main airport for Puerto Rico.
