St Vincent Weather

St Vincent weather is just about perfect year round. This island along with the other 30 plus islands that comprise St Vincent and Grenadines enjoys a tropical climate with average yearly temperatures that hover in the 78 to 80 degree range. The driest time of the year in St Vincent and Grenadines is generally January through May or June. July is usually the month that receives the most precipitation. It is not uncommon for it to rain for upwards of 25 days. Many times these tropical showers are followed with sunshine. It rarely rains all day long. Deciding the best time to visit St Vincent and Grenadines will largely depend upon what you are personally interested in doing as the weather is generally accommodating throughout the year.

There is plenty of sunshine and warm weather to go around on St Vincent and Grenadines from November through March. You may see temperatures drop slightly (70s during the day), but the dry weather and sunshine make for the perfect environment for diving and snorkeling, fishing, and just hanging out on the beach. The Blues Festival in Mustique and Music Festival in Bequia happen at the end of January and beginning of February and are a great complement to any trip.

Spring is a also a great time for outdoor activities in the water. The already warm weather is beginning to warm up to the 80s during the day. Nights start to bring warmer breezes off of the Atlantic Ocean and people enjoy warm, reef-protected waters for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. This is also a favorite time for some people who want the warm weather right before the onset of the rainy season in July.

Even though it is rainy in July and August, summer is a very popular time to visit St Vincent and Grenadines. The temperatures can easily reach into the 90s, but often comfortably hover around the mid-80s, making for optimal conditions for people who love the hot sun of summer and all of the water sports and activities that go along with it. The Vincy Mas Carnival celebration is also in July.

Just as most other parts of the year, the fall is a beautiful time. The foliage is luminous and colorful and the temperatures are accommodatingly warm with cool breezes at night. Average high temperatures generally range in the mid to high 70s between October and December. Fall is considered by many to be the best time to visit St Vincent and Grenadines.
