Store Bay Tobago is home to a wonderful little beach that is quite popular among Trinidad and Tobago residents and visitors alike. Among the reasons for the popularity of this beach are the excellent swimming and snorkeling opportunities. There’s also the fact that Store Bay Beach is just a five minute walk from Crown Point International Airport on Tobago, and the general area is home to hotels and vacation rental properties.
The most popular of all the Tobago beaches, Store Bay entices with its ease of access, its golden sands, and its clear turquoise waters. Natural coral walls help protect the lovely strip of sand, and the resulting calm waters invite visitors to wade on in for a swim. It can also be tempting to engage in some snorkeling, with the small reef on the western end being the most ideal spot for underwater exploration.
Store Bay Tobago is relatively quiet on most mornings and tends to get busy as the day goes on. Beach umbrella and chair rentals are available, and Store Bay Beach is home to excellent shower and changing facilities. Various shops, restaurants, and bars are within easy reach, and Store Bay visitors should know that this is a good place to arrange glass-bottomed boat tours that focus on Buccoo Reef and the Nylon Pools. Buccoo Reef is a natural coral reef that is teeming with life, while the Nylon Pools is a delightful swimming area that is known for its shallow and clear waters.
