Davis Bay Beach

On the northwest side of St Croix island is where you will find the lush Davis Bay Beach. It can get a bit windy on this side of the island, which helps to churn up some waves for bodysurfing, but the waves are rarely too strong to prevent fun swimming. There are strong currents here at times, so you'll want to be prepared for that possibility. Most snorkelers here explore the rocky bottom of the bay, and you'll never know what you might come across while out on your own snorkeling expedition. Sea urchins are something to be aware of when enjoying a day or more at the Davis Bay St Croix beach, as there are some below the surface here that can give quite a prick when stepped on. Generally, if you stick to the western side of the beach, you'll have a better chance of avoiding them.

After enjoying a bit of swimming, scuba diving, or snorkeling, visitors to Davis Bay Beach in St Croix might consider relaxing in a hammock, or seeking shade under one of the palm trees. Enjoying the picturesque surroundings as you kick back is always an enjoyable thing to do, that's for sure. If you want to enjoy an extended stay at Davis Bay Beach, then perhaps you might book a stay at the recently refurbished Carambola Resort, which also offers a private beach for guests only. The resort is next to an impressive golf course, so if you're up for some St Croix golf, that's a good thing. There are also tennis courts, a fitness center, meeting facilities, and two restaurants, just to mention some of the resort's amenities. The restaurants serve up some tasty fare, so dining is just another pleasure to be had when enjoying life at this wonderful St Croix beach resort. Fishing trips can be arranged at the Carambola Resort, and you can even arrange scuba diving trips to Buck Island, so you might look into those possibilities.

The Carambola Resort has on-site car rentals for those who want to explore St Croix a little more. The town of Northside isn't too far away, so you might head there for a bit. Within 8 miles or so, there are a handful of other hotel options as well if you are not staying at the Carambola Resort. They include the St Croix Beach and Tennis Resort, which is close to duty-free shopping and a golf course. There's plenty to do and see near Davis Bay Beach in St Croix, so if you're looking for a nice St Croix beach with plenty on tap, it's hard to go wrong here.
