might appreciate a few suggestions. The following are
some of the best, and hopefully, you'll find the
right one for you among the bunch.
The Pelican Reef Villas aim to raise the bar for Ambergris
Caye resorts when it comes to service and luxury. There
are 24 villas to choose from here, and all are either
2 or 3-bedroom affairs. It's top of the line all
the way here, with granite counter tops in the kitchen,
and rich furnishing throughout. You'll enjoy tons

are found throughout the generous bathrooms as well, and
each bedroom has its own private veranda. There are Jacuzzi
tubs in the bathrooms, which are lovely, and each unit
boasts a washer and dryer. The daily maid service helps
to keep things tidy, and really, overall, this place has
one of the best staffs around. There is A/C and cable
TV in each unit, and the full kitchens have all the appliances
and utensils that you'll need to play chef for a
meal or more. Outside of the rooms, you'll find
a nice private beach to relax on, the cascading pool is
surrounded by tropical vegetation and rocky waterfalls.

of the Belize Barrier
Reef. The bar here is ideal for relaxing with a beverage,
and you can get to a bunch of good restaurants by foot
or by golf cart.
The Xanadu Island Resort, which is found on the southern end of the island, is another notable entry among the resorts in Ambergris Caye. You'll also find a wonderful staff here, and since there are only 16 units, guests get the kind of treatment that is hard to find at larger Caribbean resorts. The suites here might not be quite as opulent as the villas at Pelican Reef, but they are very impressive in their own rite. Among the units here are a studio, loft suites, and 1,2, and 3-bedroom suites. All have full kitchens, cable TV, nice furnishings, full bathrooms, A/C, internet access, a safe, and a nice deck with either an ocean, garden, or pool view. This might not be a good bet for Ambergris Caye villas, but the 2 cabanas sure are alluring if you don't need all that extra room or are on a romantic getaway. Each of the cabanas has thatched roofs that extend over verandas, and they enjoy sea, pool and beach views. Tiled bathrooms with showers, plenty of hot water, A/C, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee maker, and a purified water dispenser are among the cabana amenities. The 4 beachfront suites pan out at 1,400 square feet and offer full kitchens with purified water dispensers. They are right on the beach, so you can open your door and see nothing but ocean, and the lively and colorful furnishings keep things cheery. Guests have access to free WiFi, and you can request a hair dryer and iron should you need. The small outdoor pool is welcoming and the tour desk is great for booking fun things to do in Belize.
The Ambergris Caye resorts range enough in price for
you to find the right one for your budget, and there are
some nice ones at a lower price than those mentioned above.
The El Pescador Resort is more or less moderately-priced,
and if you like to fish, it's might just need to
be moved to the top of list of lodging options. Lady fish,
snook and tarpon are just of the catches of the day here,
and the great guides here can help you enjoy fly fishing
the tarpon flats, the area lagoons, and the deep sea.
The flats here are akin to those found in Florida, so
it's certainly as good as it gets. After a day of
world-class fishing, you can enjoy evening workshops that
help you improve your casting skills. Other fun tours
and activities can also be arranged easily at the El Pescador.
You can even schedule a round or two of fun Belize
golf. Not only is this resort a good pick for fisherman,
but it's also great for those who are interested
in Ambergris Caye villas. There are 8 villas here of the
1, 2, and 3-bedroom variety, all of which are rather luxurious
and well-appointed. There are no televisions, but most
come here to relax and enjoy the sun and outdoors. There

you can enjoy hors d'oeuvres every day at 3 p.m.
