Costa Rica Hotels

Accommodations in Costa Rica vary as much as the landscapes. Whatever part of the country you plan on exploring, Costa Rica hotels have an abundance of choices for the weary traveler. Volcano hot spring resorts, rain forest eco-lodges, city hostels, and dry forest pension hotels are just some of the different accommodations that are set in the multitude of environments you are likely to encounter on your Costa Rica tours.

Some of the best hotels in Costa Rica will not cost you that much money, since many of the mid-range hotels are rather clean and comfortable and should more than satisfy your basic lodging needs.

If you're weary of the rigors of touring and bumpy tour buses, you might want to escape to a more luxurious haven at the end of a long day. You can find larger hotel chains like the Hotel Marriott Costa Rica, Comfort Real Hotel Costa Rica, Hotel Radisson Costa Rica, Hotel Palmira Costa Rica, and the Arenal Paraiso Hotel Costa Rica in the major cities and towns such as the capitol of San Jose and near major attractions such as Arenal Volcano.

The city Peurto Quepos, for example has a hotel called the Karahe that gets rave reviews from guests, who stay here on subsequent trips. While this hotel is only $40 a night, it is often preferred over the nearby Hotel Si Como No, whose rooms average three times the Karahe's. In the city of Liberia in the northern part of the country, the Four Seasons resort is one of ultimate splurges for Hotels in Costa Rica at almost $300 a night, but you can also find a clean and well-kept room at the Best Western El Sitio Hotel and Casino for about $20 a night. In Tamarindo beach, on the Pacific, the easygoing way of life is reflected in the very reasonable prices of what very well may be some of the most clean and affordable Costa Rica Hotels.

Costa Rica Hotels

Costa Rica hostels are some of the liveliest places for a young traveler to be. The Hostel Pangea fits the bill and exceeds your expectations at the same time. Located only 5 blocks from the main square's tourist information office, only $9 a night gets you a bed in the safest, cleanest hostel in town. The DSL connection, all male, all female or mixed sex rooms give you choices to add to your perfect Costa Rica hostel stay. This hostel has a bilingual staff, and so many free amenities that you will be hard pressed to find a better hostel in San Jose. Guests enjoy free coffee, free high speed internet access, free calls to North America, a free storeroom for your backpack, and a free map to help you get around.

The Friendly Hostel in San Jose and is a good alternative if the Pangea is full. This friendly hostel has all new bunk beds, and offers a free breakfast in addition to free internet access. A lush outside area, free coffee and tea all day long and tourist information are other perks you can enjoy at this fine Costa Rica hostel. Other cities have their own versions of a hostel environment and some even have small private rooms for just a few dollars more. All in all, a night at most Costa Rica Hostels will run you $9 a night, as they all try to remain competitive by offering the same rates. Whatever your tastes and budget, the abundant options for accommodations in Costa Rica welcome you to stay one night, or a few more.
