The La Colina Lodge is not as close to the preserve as other hotels, but if you"re up for a hike you could easily walk a few miles to get there. This place is the only Monteverde Hotel that has camping. Backpackers can stay dry and warm in the four person Bunk Bed rooms, or singles and couples can easily afford the $38 for a double room. Camping is the cheapest option for accommodations in the area, at only $5 per person.
