There aren’t tons of Guatemala beach resorts to choose from. That being said, travelers who are interested in such accommodations shouldn’t get too discouraged. A few beachfront Guatemala resorts are found along the Pacific coast, and there is at least one good option on the Caribbean side.

Monterrico is the top beach destination in Guatemala. As such, anyone who is interested in Guatemala beach resorts is encouraged to start there. One of the beach resorts that calls the area home is the Hotel Isleta de Gaia. It enjoys an isolated location near the El Salvador border and offers twelve wonderful bungalow units to go with its outdoor pool, its watersports equipment center, its bar, its restaurant, and its tours desk. Also available in the Monterrico area is the Dos Mundos Pacific Resort (pictured). The fourteen guest units at the Dos Mundos Pacific also come in form of enticing bungalows, and guests have a restaurant, a bar, a tour desk, and two outdoor pools at their disposal.

The Monterrico hotels aren’t the only hotels that are worth focusing on when trying to find Guatemala beach resorts on the Pacific side. In the popular Puerto San Jose area, for example, both the Sailfish Bay Lodge and the Villas del Pacifico Resort beckon with their terrific beachfront locations and their good overall amenities. Over on the Caribbean coast, the inviting Amatique Bay Resort and Marina is the most complete beach resort option.
