Coco View Resort

The CoCo View Resort is one of the most renowned dive resorts in the Caribbean. Much of its reputation is tied to its splendid location. You can find the resort on the Honduras island of Roatan, and located just off the shores of its lovely grounds are coral walls and a 140-foot wreck. When guests of the CoCo View Resort aren’t snorkeling or diving in what the resort refers to as its "Front Yard," they can hop on a boat and access any other number of fantastic Roatan snorkeling and diving sites. When a break from snorkeling and diving is in order, guests can take advantage of the resort’s general facilities or relax in their comfortable accommodations. Arranging off-site excursions that include such activities as golfing and zip lining is also a possibility.

The 26 guest units at the CoCo View Resort include oceanfront rooms and over-the-water bungalows and cabanas. Each unit is air-conditioned and features such additional amenities as a coffee maker, a mini fridge, a security box, and a hammock. After a day of diving or enjoying other activities, guests can kick back and relax on their own private balcony, porch, or deck. Understandably so, the guest units at the Coco View Resort fill up from time to time. This isn’t a huge problem for those who have flexible travel dates. For those whose travel dates are not flexible, the resort offers to put up guests in one of the oceanfront homes at Playa Miguel until a room opens up. It’s service like this that helps the CoCo View Resort attract so many repeat guests.

While guests of the CoCo View Resort can find many different ways to stay entertained during their stay, snorkeling and diving are most often the activities of choice. As mentioned, excellent snorkeling and diving sites can be found just offshore from the resort. Guest are literally just a few fin kicks away from amazing underwater realms. Combine the unlimited shore diving and snorkeling with the option to arrange boat trips to other sites around Roatan, and guests can literally get their fill of diving and snorkeling. Coincidentally, they can also expect to get their fill of food, thanks to the resort’s buffet restaurant.

Dining & Facilities

Three daily buffet meals are included in the CoCo View Resort rates. This is very convenient, as it allows guests to focus on all the other things that they came to enjoy – namely diving and snorkeling. Variety is the name of the game at CoCo View’s buffet eatery, and guests who have special dietary restrictions are encouraged to notify the staff in advance. While the resort staff can not guarantee its ability to accommodate every dietary restriction, it will do its best when such situations arise. As for the other facilities and general amenities that are available at the CoCo View Resort, they include free Wi-Fi, boutique shops, in-room spa treatments, free kayak rentals, and a clubhouse that features such things as a lending library, a guest computer, and a full-service bar. Free seminars on Roatan history and free buoyancy clinics are just two more examples of the kinds of things that can add extra depth to a CoCo View visit. This place pretty much has it all.
