About an hour's drive from Pittsburgh, you'll find the Greene County Historical Society Museum in Waynesburg celebrating its 41st Harvest Festival on October 13-14 from 10am to 5pm. This is a fun two days with food, entertainment, performers, handmade crafts, an 18th century tavern, living history demonstrations, and performers reenacting a Civil War skirmish. Good fall fun for the family.

if you're a history buff or interested in folk life you will love this festival. I've been going to the Harvest fest every year with my granddad. The craftsmen are amazing and the food is so tasty. There are also living history demonstrators that recreate scenes of the old Greene County..they do have an 18th century tavern and a Civil War skirmish.
