Hi, I recently bought a ticket to Europe for June with a 5 day stopover in Iceland. I'm a 22 year old going by herself, and need some ideas.

I've heard great things about Iceland, and I was just wondering if any of you have been and what the experience was like. Also, what is a must see and where to stay. Thanks

I would recommend staying in Reykjavik and maybe going on day trips fron there. The Blue Lagoon is a must see, it's Iceland’s most famous geothermal pool, and there’s nothing like it in the world.

If your willing to go into the country a bit, next stop should be Thingvellir National Park and Gullfoss which is Iceland’s most famous waterfall. On sunny days, Gullfoss' spray creates shimmering rainbows over the gorge, which makes a truly amazing spectacle.

By the way, if your staying over the weekend, you'll most likely see a lot of partying in downtown Reykjavik and it is good fun to check that out.
