I recently travelled to Los Angeles From Auckland on the Air New Zealand using on the Skycouch economy, which looks like a king-size bed. For those who do not know, the Skycouch is a full row of three Economy-class seats with leg rests that fold up to make a bed. It was a cool experience trying it out for the first time. Anyone here tried the Skycouch before?

I haven't tried New Zealand's skycouch but for what I've seen, it's like a cheaper version of Premium economy. It sounds good for couples, families but for solo travelers I don't think so..unless you don't mind cuddling with a stranger.

Air New Zealand Sky Couch class

How many people will think that "skycouch" is premium? Skycouch is not a separate class of travel...you're still flying economy. In fact, the Sky Couch class is over hyped if you ask me. One major annoyance is the fact that the space is limited when the seats in front are reclined. Great for an adult and a child, but for two adults it's not really ideal.
