what do you guys think of Aer Lingus and Ryanair filing legal action in the European Court of Justice over the air travel tax? Apparently, both Aer Lingus and Ryanair say that a lower tax rate for short-haul flights is unfair...
well i cannot say i feel sorry for ryanair and their antics with 'paying toilets', etc, etc; For what I gather, both airlines are contesting the commission’s view that the “normal†air travel tax rate should be €10. Either way, i thought you were supposed to be saving the planet..isn't that what the air tax is about or am i mistaken?
To be honest I too could not care less about airlines but this ruling over travel tax will most likely affect the passengers and travelers. Be prepare for higher vacations and holiday packages!
