Slovenian airports are modern and efficient, and airport staff do speak English.
For instance, the Ljubljana airport is the best and offers modern conveniences such as duty-free shops, bars and restaurants, and a beautiful terrace and observation deck where you can watch aircrafts taking off and landing.
Also, this airport offers many transportation options to and from the airport, and from Ljubljana is possible to hop on the train, with direct connections to the airport.
Car rental and buses are also available, for a cost of approximately 4 euro per passenger from the capital city to or from the airport.
Hope this helps
