The Anchorage Museum is one of the most-visited attractions in the entire state. Its mission is to share the state's history, and it now has more space to do so. The vastly expanded Anchorage Museum has added a center for Arctic studies, new gallery and the 9,000-square-foot science center, the Imaginarium Discovery Center. You'll also find a planetarium, cafe and new museum store here.

Anchorage Museum is great for kids

the Anchorage Museum is one of the museums worth seeing if you're in downtown Anchorage. I visited it with my whole family and had a great day! Really enjoyed the interactive exhibits with the grandsons especially the newest area for very young children (Imaginarium Discovery Center). The local cultural exhibit was very beautiful and informative.

Glad to hear that everyone had a great time, Fotefote! It's rare to find a place that can make the whole family happy. :)
