Severe snowstorms have hit the Annapurna National Park in Nepal for the last 7 days and emergency services are continuing to rescue people trapped in affected areas. It is advised to seek local guidance for trekking Annapurna National Park but it would be wise to delay your trek until the trails have been declared safe. These snowstorms are freak of nature as they're unseasonal but luckily Kathmandu and other lower-altitude regions are unaffected by the disaster. At the present time, the freak weather has been restricted to the area around the Annapurna National Park.
Nepal snowstorms update Nepal snowstorms have pretty much settled now. For what i read there have been about a dozen casualties which were all trekkers. This is sad but this shows the importance of proper reading/research proper gear and weather reports before you go off trekking high up in the Himalayas.
